But seriously, that deodorant just looks so BOPPY!

Got it. Ceramic balls. Smoother and rounder then steel. A piece of grit will fvck them up. On the PAP units. Depending on rpm. Used either babbit plain bearings for high rpm, or steel ball bearings for low rpms. High rpms was over 50,000. A lot of it was over 100,000 rpms. all of it was pressure fed oil. The seals were ceramic. Could use your bare fingers touch them. The acid in you skin oil would damage the seals. Had to wear white cloth gloves and wipe the seals down with lens wipes.

My blower was spinning close to 62000. The bearings are suppose to be rated to 72000. Not quite as sensitive as what you were working with though. :rofl2:

When I worked at Elliott. Some of the equipment had tolerances of .0002". most was around .002". Ever use a pencil eraser to remove a high spot on a bearing journal? Scraping babbit bearings in? Bearing housing alignments?

Another oldie, but I actually think I saw that one. Isn't that about a big dude who spends a couple of years building a garage and then falls in love with a ex-stripper with a lazy eye that works second shift at a Dollar General somewhere in rural SC?

Morning guys. May 1st. My kid turns 21 today. No plans, he doing stuff with his mother I guess.

Have an appointment to get my arm checked out in a couple hours. I might reschedule until a touch of sanity returns. I don't want to go out at all.

Happy May Day... apparently either a celebration of workers or a celebration of springtime or a celebration of male fertility....

Any of these are cause enough for a party, I suppose .... So Happy May Day to all of you dancing around the maypole right now..

It's new tool day :happydance: Ordered new clicky wrenches from Tekton last time i was home. I picked up the 1/4 #24320 when i did the spark plugs in the G and really liked it. So i got replacements for the craftsman 1/2 and 3/8 I currently have.

Put away the sickle and hammer buddy. Your pro-Marxist propaganda doesn't belong here - keep it to the Corona thread where all politics belong
