You should be good at “Hand-Jobs” :bowrofl:
If not, you will be :rofl2:

Not much need for the covered socket if you are spinning them by hand imo

I’ll remove & install with impact (my Ridgid), as I’ve learned the amount of torque it delivers on each setting.
Then I’ll hit with torque wrench & again after a couple hundred miles

I've been looking at their ratcheting wrenches. This set is leading the pack right now.

That’s one area that I only own “Gearwrench” brand :ugh2:
As I’ve only stripped (1) 7/16” one before...many years ago on a Dumptruck slack adjuster :icon14:

jchammond 01-07-2020 08:16 AM

Ordered a new car cover for the ~Z~ :tiphat:
Something that I should have done 6-8mos ago :wtf2:

I'm not sure what the other settings on my little impact do. It claims 210ft/lb max but my flywheel bolts said otherwise. The beast made quick work of them though.

I could get away without the torque limiting rod since i just sung them up enough to set it on the ground but I use it anyway.

I thought you've been working on the car cover for the last 3 months :bowrofl:

jchammond 01-07-2020 08:20 AM

Gonna break down & have a small construction crew come out & take up some old fencing, dig me a large hole near rear of property & build up/pack underneath and around my garage :ugh2:
He’s got the proper equipment to do it right & can pack it down well underneath my raised box
I’ll get to see a laser level in action

jchammond 01-07-2020 08:23 AM

Headed outside for a couple hours to bore a few more hoe’s & install a few more bolts :iagree:
My construction crew date is 1/18...so I got time to round up whatever amount of my empire, that I’m going to bury :nutswinger:

I still thread my lugs by hand. Keeps me in tune with the thread condition. I use a protected socket as well - exposed metal will still mar the inside of the lug holes on the wheels :twocents:

At least I’ll give it a good wash & polish job :wtf2: Before cover goes on...probably will be summertime before my ~Z~ actually will have a turn on the lift :ugh2:

2-Zspeed clutch jobs, pull an engine/tranny from pickup, timing belt/water pump on 1.6 ecoboost on Fusion, suspension work on Blazer & then the Z :ugh2::icon14:

:tiphat: Good morning
Can’t believe I have a second day in a row with nothing on the social calendar :happydance: the last two weeks were crazy, the food, the restaurants, the social gatherings. Had people over Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, meeting up with friends for breakfast other friends for lunch. Have a funeral tomorrow, and then an airport run on Friday, then everything goes back to normal

Want to work on the truck outside. But got snowflakes coming down. Have one headlight refinished, sitting in the garage. Have to install it with the new LED light bulb. Then pull the other side out and do it.

That sounds good. How is it compared to the real deal, if you have ever had the good stuff?

Surprisingly, they aren't that far off from the real thing. The yogurt dressing isn't as good as the real thing. I had a coupon for 2 for $6.00. Can't beat that.

What do you call a guy with a sheep under each arm?...................a pimp.

Why do farmers in WV paint an X on the side of their sheep?................that's the ones that kick.
