It's very helpful to hear ya'lls experiences in this matter. Sometimes **** comes out of left field at ya. Things were going swell and then last year she adopted some neurotic, anxiety-ridden rescue schnauzer that would **** the floor, roll around in it, and smear itself on all the furniture if she left it alone. She became obsessed with it like it was a child. Wouldn't go anywhere without it and then there wasn't room for me in the relationship. Which I could understand if it was a child. But it was a dog. Oh well.

Another thing my mom used to say. Think with that head between your shoulders, not the head between your legs. :rofl2:

The reason I married the woman I did was because prior to it even becoming a relationship, instead of playing the usual dating game which is rife with dishonesty and never expressed expectations, we spoke candidly about what we really wanted in a relationship. We started dating in 2016, were married 1 year and 1 day later in 2017, and continue to have very candid and open communication. I will not say there haven't been any issues, but they are very small issues, and we resolve them logically.

I'd dated other women who were "more" in single areas - more compatible sense of humor, more attractive objectively, more intriguing conversationalists in an area of focus - but none who were such well rounded individuals, with intellect, goals, leadership, and the ability to hold articulate and well-reasoned dialogue on a large variety of topics. It's a tremendous advantage when we do disagree. It's not emotional, just a rational discussion and some sort of agreement or compromise.

Headed to an appointment with the Dentist this afternoon. Hope she keeps to the plan as it’s quite awkward to take my pants off while tilted back in that chair

My motto. Never go to bed mad. Talk it out before hitting the sheets. Because if you don't. You'll lay there and over think things. Been married to Chris going on 7 years. Never had a fight. Oh, we have our difference of options at times. Then we laugh about it.

JARblue 01-06-2020 11:21 AM

Sorry to hear Betty. Sounds like the right move. Best of luck to you :tiphat:

I've been all over the map since my divorce two years ago (after 12 years together, 9 married). Sometimes it was fun just for fun, sometimes it was serious dating and sometimes it was actively avoiding dating. Now I've found that I'm in a good place just doing my thing and going with the flow; I know what I bring to the table. If someone wants to enrich my life, I'm all for it. But I'm not about to settle just for a companion.

Had the chit scared out of me on the way home from work today. Left work and was heading home on a 2 lane road. Watched the ford truck coming at me go to the right. Up against the guardrails. See the drive jerk the steering wheel to the left. I nailed the gas pedal and got up against the guardrails on my side of the road. He just missed my rear bumper. He hit the guardrails on my side of the road behind me. If I didn't nail the gas pedal. He would have hit me head on. This guy was flying too.:shakes head: I stopped and checked on him. He's a bit shaken up, but ok otherwise. All of his airbags popped. Cops got my info. I told them on what I seen. See what happens now. I was in the Power Wagon too.

Hello again fellas, Here for my biweekly check in LOL. Took me a little while to catch up on the convos. My conclusions:
- Happy as hell to see Brady out of the playoffs at the hands of the TITANS
- Seahawks win so thats a bummer in my book....
- Relationships are tough, not every single one of them will/is meant to last
- Rusty was too lazy to setup his dashcam so no footage of alleged crash....
- Lastly, I am recovering from the weekend beach trip. When the weather is sh*t (how it always is in Oregon), only thing to do at the beach house is booze and watch football. Last weekend trip for a while as work will start picking up here in a few weeks, to which i will go AWOL till after 4/15/2020. Enjoying the peace and quiet while it lasts!

Workbench is one day away from being complete. Then the reorganization begins. Then I can finally move the Z back into her home and install the Coolerworx shifter and diff cover/bushings. Any advice on either?

I used an impact socket and wrapped it in electrical tape. The last thing I want to happen when I'm torquing a wheel down is for the my $9.00 Amazon socket to snap. :tiphat:
