Good Monday Morning All. Well the Christmas Stuff starts to come down today slowly. The Mrs has the next couple of days off so it will not take long at all. Coffee for now and getting caught up on a few things. Hope you all have a good Monday and be sure to be safe out there!!:happyholidays:

I don't have pictures of the old setup here, but I tore out 2 aged work benches of dubious construction, and replaced with a large L-shaped bench about 38" tall. It's been raining here and I had to visit the inlaws, so not much progress today. I'm using pressure treated for the legs, standard 2x4's for the framework supporting the "table" and 3/4 plywood for the table surface. Obviously you can't see the lattice work underneath the plywood, but it's robust.

Not organized yet since I don't have dry weather, but hopefully Tuesday.

Has Betty been over to your house, as I see some resemblance :ugh2:

It surprised the hell out of me too when I first learned it snows there in the winter. Of course I was on a road trip running summer tires so that was.. eye-opening.

Haha well the biggest differences in mine are 1) mine took 4 hours, not multiple days, and 2) no weird ceiling corners!

If I don't expose you to the real world, who will? You're lucky I took you under my wing. Between my poetic grasp of the English language, and Rusty's slang term of the day, we'll have you trained to be a perverted intellectual titan just like the rest of us in no time!

Many don't realize that AZ is not all desert and that Phoenix and Tucson are not the norm for the entire state. Flagstaff elevation is higher than Denver, CO! Most of the northeast of the state is greater than 5,500 feet. I live in Kingman which is 30 miles from NV and 60 from the CA borders. Our elevation is 3,000 to 3,500 feet for the town its self. We have what you call a Sky Island in our backyard. The Hualapai Mountains are a 15 minute drive from my house and rises to about 8,000 feet at its highest peak. AZ is one of the most diverse states in terms of habitat in the US. When I get to talking about AZ outdoors I realize how much I miss being out in the wilds playing like I did for 30 plus years and getting paid for it.

It helps to know what you're doing! I started out with no knowledge, a hammer, and some used nails. Now I have a woodworking shop and a handwritten holiday card from Jeff Bezos? I'm gonna need another garage to store all this crap.

The scaffolding would actually make a nice moveable workbench for the car - but now I have more square feet of workbench than a studio apartment has floorspace...

eastwest2300 12-30-2019 09:03 AM

fellas, I almost about died on the toilet a few minutes ago.. it was bad, really really bad... the toilet didnt want to flush it, it took 3 flushes and the plunger... easily a 9.3 on the rectum scale.

Life-changing or life-altering? As in you need a doctor to reattach your sphincter to your azz.

Just busting your chops. You're not expected to know what you're doing on the other side of the world, where photographs emerge upside down.

Sorry to hear that but glad you are okay and now have a solid exit plan for the Fit. Go get yourself checked out. No need of tough guying it out as the drive of the Prius or his insurance company will have to foot the bill.
