Morning all! I'm seriously ready to be done with this week. All day jury duty Tuesday followed by all day meetings Wednesday. And unfortunately somebody on I95 kicked up debris and put a marble sized impact crater in my windshield yesterday :( guess I'll talk to safelite about it, unless any of you gents have good feedback about other options?

Ah well, only 3 meetings today, and all are short.

Be there when safelite does the install. The clips o the b pillar cover finishers are NOTORIOUS for breaking during removal. And since they're one-piece w the finisher itself, you need a new finisher. That safelite will provide. But if you dont watch them break it, the tech will just use some 3M tape to hold it on.

I love Safelite and have always had great experiences. But if replacing the windshield, definitely make sure they send a tech that has significant 370Z experience. As Betty said... it's easy to break $hit if you don't know what you're doing.

When I had the Z's windshield replaced (tiny chip and I got them to replace the whole thing lol), I had all the engine bay and interior pieces removed and was starting the exterior A-pillar when the guy showed up. Once we got to chatting we just split the work, one person to a side, though I let him do all of the windshield removal/install work. The guy was able to discount my deductible, too (normally $100, I only paid $50).

Bob says it's soulless :icon17:

Hotrodz 11-21-2019 10:26 AM

DR...the interior is ok and the body style does nothing for me. Maybe because I was with a pro driver the car seemed to drive itself if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong thos guys were laying down some serious lap times. I didn't get the benefit of that because I was the first one in and the tires had not come up to speed temp yet. His best time was 1:11 and I did that in my Miata. Subsequently they were running 1:06 and slightly better.

Jury duty can suck a fat one. Specifically the waiting, the lack of information, and the inability to plan. I get that it serves an important purpose however.

I've been summoned to jury duty once since 1994. I checked in that day and about an hour later, they came in and said we were all dismissed. The case was settled on the golf course the day before. :icon17:

Was advised I should come into the office an hour early on my Friday... Boss bought me Famous Dave's Rib tips, onion straws and fried cheese curds. :yum:

Going from thinking I'm fired to feasting and not wanting to move out of my chair. :icon17: Said if you find me asleep when you come in in the morning, its your fault!

It's the AFC North. You can expect this with any of the teams. There is bad blood between all the teams.
