yea just saying with no need for the socket itself it saves a lot of space to maneuver in there.

i have a tool for it. little plastic handle with a rubber piece you wrap around the filter, run through the handle, and it tightens on itself. works for the Z with the tight space. that tool you showed probably wouldnt work.

Yes but I've used the tool on other Z's as well, including 2012+ models with the stock cooler. However, I have not used it on a Z that kept the factory cooler in conjunction with an aftermarket cooler.

From what I've deduced, when the sensor itself reads 160 the oil temp in the channels is 180, so it's not the end of the world. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

I know which one your talking about, rubber strap thing. Ive used that, the little cup you put on a ratchet wrench, the chain strap one, they all slip. The plier type one that I have has offset jaws so that you can get at the filter from different angles. I gave away all my other oil filter tools away after that.

You may take a filter off with these; but if I catch one of my guy’s using them for installation

Yep; I use these...about 28$ or so for 4 & they have screw on tops/bottoms to keep clean.
I’m thinking you can get these from Amazon as well
