When my wife was alive we almost bought a shop.Had the deal done but the owner got cold feet and backed out.In retrospect i am glad we didn't get it.

From 02-05’ I owned & operated a mobile repair shop...pulled around a 14x7’ trl-with tools,air compressor,jacks & jack stands.
Only worked on people’s vehicles that I knew & ones that I was referred to. mostly off-road equipment (tractors,doziers,excavators,cotton pickers,etc..)
But had a small fleet of mobile Equine Vetenarians I serviced as well. Didn’t have to purchase garage keepers insurance/as everything was done in the field
My current workplace made a good offer to come back & I needed better health insurance, also raised my kids alone & needed to be on a consistent schedule for them...don’t rule out doing it again,,,Enjoyed it & money is out there for the earnings,just gotta keep a schedule book together & be prepared to work rain or shine
Plan to do some COD work after I eventually build a garage/workshop & get closer to retirement
