We have pretty decent food here. Even the patient line is made to order and has good things on the menu. :yum:

With Neck surgery you can't swallow worth a crap. They forgot to tell me that before the surgery. It was a mush diet for 2-3 weeks followed by a big glass of water. If I got choked, I had to chase it down with water or back up it would come. LOL It was like that for over a year.

Oh hell, that would suck. I worked in the special diet kitchen at the nursing home when in high school. Pureed everything. nasty.

Wifey had the Nissen Procedure done a couple of years ago. I never want that done to me. What goes down will never come back up. If you have to throw up. Forget it. It ain't happening. She was a liquid diet for a month, then on to baby food for a while. It was something like 6 months before she could eat anything solid.

Wow... not a lot of people out there that had a Nissen Fundoplication done. I also got it done to me in June of 1999, and I haven't thrown up since.

Not sure how they got part of the name listed as “fun..”, but it wasnt...

Cool thing is that I can burp the whole alphabet now... ...and that certainly is popular with the grandkids... :icon17:

My surgery was needed and still works quite well. No reflux at all, but you do have to chew your bacon up pretty good or else your eyes cross and you have to wait for the plug up to go down... :icon14:...

I have found that whiskey helps...

Spoiler 04-23-2019 01:09 AM

For the first few years, my wife would have to unplug me with a coat hanger. Bless her heart, I remember her down there with them big rubber gloves on, fishing the coat hanger a way up in me.... Many a meals were ate cold by her when she had to stop and get me fixed up.

Actually it was her that named me the Spoiler because of all that... yup, it aint been easy growing up as me... :icon17:

also, just got invited back to this one golf tournament in july which happens to be the day after i get back from my yearly golf trip soooo there goes about a grand right there.

as much as i would like to quit everything to get car parts faster it just wouldnt be fun so i'm ok with taking my time and enjoying other stuff.....or i could just go make more money but thats too much work lol

That is actually my normal routine also. I hate drying the car after just using the spray. I ended up using griots speed shine while I was drying it. Not ideal but turned out fine.

I used to do that with my black Prelude. I was using a wax that you had to keep your applicator kinda wet. I think it was a Meguires product. Washed the car, didnt dry it, just went straight to waxing.
