the shop i always used for the Z hurt them a bit last time. some wonderful employee let 2 fall over on their face which the corners of the sport wheel spoke stick out further than the tire sidewall and rest of the wheel. soooo not taking gloss black painted gtr wheels there.

was thinking nissan garage but idk if they will mount oversized tires.

i have another option someone told me about at cars and coffee over the weekend but it's like 40 min away and not like i can transport the tires in the car lol either would take them off whole leave it on jacks or have someone follow me in the pickup truck.

I am going to try and toss them into the Fit. The shop I use is about 25 minutes away from me but well worth the drive there and back, even if I have to make the trip twice. They take really good care of my stuff.

i think i need some new buffing pads, car soap, towels, and maybe beer soap for the gtr/z.

need to finally order my oil change stuff this week as well.

need to get the new rubber put on the gtr soon for zdayz just being super low new gonna hold off another week maybe 2 lol

I'm a huuuuge fan of the Adam's Polishes products; bought the cart and everything. Tip: if you spray detailer all over the car when it's still wet you can just use a bunch of Maguires microfiber towels to dry it off. Works wonders. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6d708af979.jpg

**** that noise! The ***-tech at my local douche-stone used a screwdriver and a mallet to take my weights off, scratched the hell out of the wheels. I took all 4 off the car, drove em back, rolled em into the nearly-full waiting area, and said "fix what you did."

And that's the story of I got four brand-spanking new-looking wheels.

made it to the office. I am here only in case all hell breaks loose. Otherwise I am told I can nap, surf the web, and do whatever SFW activities that float my boat.
My work restrictions came in today and got them to employee health. I get to just sit here and answer the phones.

I never got into their stuff. I usually pick up a gallon of Griot's speedshine at the beginning of the year. For the actual car soap I like how Duragloss foams with my pressure washer. It tosses some good suds that cling for a bit.

madwi 04-22-2019 06:04 PM

Meguiar's soap always attracts them cunts knows as hornets. :icon17:

Gone two weeks and my chair is missing. Mofos

Leingod 04-22-2019 07:30 PM

I have adopted the Madwi cleaning process.

Power wash using duragloss 302 or whatever its called.

Dry and clay bar if needed using cheap mothers spray.

Chemincla guys poly compound and polishes for drastic measures using a Porter Cable da polisher with tons of different pads.

Four star paint sealant added by hand afterwards and topped with a light layer of collinite.

I use nothing but cry me a river towels for drying hard to reach areas, otherwise I use a leaf blower. And eagle MF edgless towels when detailing further.

Leingod 04-22-2019 07:32 PM

On an uphappy note. My retarded city just passed new legislation and we can no longer park on city streets between 6am and 6pm. I now need to play musical cars in my driveway whenever I want to take the Z because we don't have enough space for 3 cars in the driveway. I usually leave the beater out front on the street. Just another reason to find a new house outside this shyt hole of a place.

Highest property taxes in the state. An absolutely joke of a city with nothing being revitalized and young people leaving as fast as possible. Nothing to do around the area. 28k population. We have 17 gas stations within a 3 mile radius with another being built. But the local taco shop couldn't afford to stay open because rent was astronomical.

OH, and this parking crap that just happened? It came right after the city decided to spend 1 million and change demolishing a parking structure for the whole downtown area instead of making it safe again.

I didn't talk about the ceramic coating stuff you recommended. The other foaming duragloss stuff. The leather conditioners. The Wolfgang sealant which I'm liking more than four star. The griots speed shine or best of show waxes. The county lake pads being used or those mf clay pads for small applications. Or the painstaking process of shining bright *** lights into the paint to see what micro scratches remain. Lol.

I get most of it?

Find some place that doesn't have a HOA.

Worked on the Z after work. Have some minor trimming to do on the splitter. Will do that after I finish the 3" brake duct hose up-grade. 3" hose is stiff to flex to make bends. :icon14:

Rusty speaks the truth.

I HATE scratching a check every month for amenities and general upkeep. When my daughter was young, we took advantage of the pool, clubhouse, etc., but now...zip. The one good thing is that the HOA makes everyone take care of their sh1t without being too overbearing.

Rusty 04-22-2019 08:09 PM

After I'm done with the 3" hose up-grade. I will have my 2" Stillen brake cooling duct kit for sell.

Where my daughter was. The HOA was a bunch of power hungry azzholes. She was getting a letter about once every 2 months about something stupid. Glad she is out of that place now.

Yeap, they want to control you. I will never live in a HOA area. Never.

This isn't even a HOA thing. It's city ordinance. Every city block within a 10 mile radius of downtown which encompasses 80% of the actual "city" now has these signs for parking. This includes commercial and residential areas. Many of the houses in the downtown area don't have garages or more than single stall driveways.

I am looking forward to moving to a place with a HOA to keep owners in line. Where I currently live, the dickweed neighbor never finishes anything and leaves all kinds of crap sitting around all the time. I am so tired of his style that I am moving before I start tossing Molotov Cocktails over the fence...

Just talking about it even gets my blood pressure up... :shakes head:....I’m actually so pizzed about it, I don't even perv on his wife very much anymore...

Dammit... Thats it... I going to get some bacon to snack on...
