The stock has a flap you can fold down. I think it's like 4 bolts

Yea. Always felt like I was going to break it though so I just removed the whole plastic shroud. The metal one is way easier to deal with. Just not a fan of it using hex screws.

The front of the bushing has to flush with the sub-frame where the diff stud goes into it.

The small hole in front, and the large hole in the rear.

Did you install the bushing from the rear?

On the front bushings. Remove everything. Nothing gets reused but for the 2 long bolts.

It's been a long day. :tiphat:

Rusty 04-13-2019 11:35 PM

It started last night. The couple renting out the motorhome for the weekend. Called the campground and the office was close. So they spent the night in the motorhome next to the house.

This morning. We went through everything on the operation of the motorhome. They got a hold of the campground office and was on their way.

Started doing yard work. Leaf blowing, weedeating, picking up dead tree branches, cutting grass, started a fire to burn the dead tree branches.

Got a call from the couple around 5:30. They are locked out of the motorhome at the campground. :shakes head: The campground is about 45 minutes from me. So off I go with the other set of keys. Get there and tried my set of keys. NO worky. :shakes head: The door has 2 sets of locks. One dead bolt that works. The other works with either a key or a remote. You could hear the remote moving, but nothing was happening. And the key would only turn so far. Went to the campground office and see if I could borrow a hack saw blade. They gave me a hack saw. Went back and started to saw through the door lug on the door frame. Get about 2/3 through the lug and I hear a click. Grabbed the door handle and it opened open. So I got the couple in, and they are so happy.

I got home around 7. finished cutting grass, restart my fire, and ate. After eating. Was in my lazyboy reading the forum, and went out like a light.

Now I have to replace the door lug, and figure out why the remote lock wasn't working.

The reason the couple is renting the motorhome is that they are both retiring soon and want a motorhome to travel in. And wanted to see what a big Class A was like. They have already tried the smaller Class C's and B's. They really like mine. I told them it's for sell. I could see the wheels turning in their heads when I left the campground. Hopeful, they will buy it.

I thought you liked the Class A rig. You are selling it now?

We love it. But we just don't use it like we should anymore. When we first got it. We would use it about 60 days in the summer. Now, we only have a couple of long weekends planned, and a elk hunting trip in the fall to NM if I get selected in the drawing. That's only about 20 days of use for the year. It's an expense that we could do without if it's just sitting. Just sitting, it eat money. With Chris's Parkinson's. If anything happened to me while we are out with it. She is no longer able to handle it by herself. That's another reason. :(

Call me a red neck. Got some sun on the back of my head and neck. I can feel it.

old guy 04-14-2019 12:26 AM

The way I see it the more " stuff " you own , the more headaches you have ! I'm at the point in my life where I if I don't need it or can do without it, I get rid of it ! Now if I can only convince my wife of doing the same thing ! It's very cleansing

Wow... 1000 mph ... pretty solid for a Z that is typically drag-limited to around 155 mph.
