Sitting in the vet office. Waiting for them to take Jake in.

Leingod 03-16-2019 11:03 AM

Haircut done. Making smash burgers for dinner I think. Need to do laundry and iron as well.

Rusty 03-16-2019 01:22 PM

Just got back from the pet hospital. Jake need surgery on his knee again. When he blew out his knee 2 years ago. They put a plate and a couple of screws in his knee. That plate and screws have to come back back. They are the cause of an inflection that won't let the incision heal right. :(

BoneZ 03-16-2019 01:38 PM

Buyer wanted me to bring the kitchen sink up to code.

That and the flex pipe. I'm surprised our inspector didn't catch that when we bought the house two years ago.

Flexible pipe isn’t against code. At least not in Texas. No p trap would be.

Didn't you get any smell up through the sink?

Sorry to hear. Hope it is sorted quickly and heals up well.

How is a simple flight from either Syracuse or Rochester to Knoxville over $1,000 for 2 people round trip. Absolute scam. I'll need to find out some way to do this. No way am I paying those prices just to go to ZdayZ.

Check Chattanooga TN and/or Greenville/Spartanburg SC airports... they might be a bit farther away than Knoxville, but not much. Additionally, Allegiant Airlines flies out of both airports and they're cheap.

Maybe because the buyer is getting a USDA loan???

Surprisingly no

onzedge 03-16-2019 05:47 PM

I made it out of Fremont, NE in the nick of time. If I waited 2 more hours, I would have been stranded.

Might just be a different state. Code varies by city, so entire different state doesn’t surprise me. I had two in the house I sold because I was too lazy to replumb everything. Inspector pointed it out as subpar plumbing but it wasn’t a code violation. I didn’t fix it.

Good suggestions regarding Chattanooga and Greenville. Also, consider flying to Atlanta. It's a little over three hours from Fontana, but would be a beautiful drive.

I just went and measured the new garage. It's only 20 x 25.

When it rains, it pours. Wifey getting foot operated on 4/8 to redo her toes on one foot. So some time after that, it's Jake's turn.

Man it was hot here today. About 75 degrees. Sweating my butt off in the garage and only managed one caliper install, and even on that I have to do some troubleshooting! But the rest should be a breeze once I get the bugs worked out.

I'd stick with Zing's suggestions first... Both are much closer. Lexington could actually take you up to 4 or 5 hours to drive to Fontana. Same for Nashville.
