I might stop there and pick up a few different six packs for everyone to try out.

Breakfast is mandatory. :rofl2: Got to plan the day out.

We got the meal tickets for both days too. Someone has to hold down the fort, and save chairs for everyone.

Leingod 01-18-2019 02:27 PM

I'm more hyped for the food than meeting you guys now.

Yea. Was talking to Susan just now about it. Breakfast with you guys at the lodge. I could bring a massive container for steaks to sous vide. i think it can hold 8 cuts using rib racks. We were just planning on chips and pb&j for lunches. I could prep some sides at home and just put them on ice for the drive down.

Did they shame you into driving? All day yesterday it was, ‘Fuck 14 hrs in the car!’

Still up in the air. If I end up flying, i'll just shove steaks in a cooler inside a suitcase for the flight.

jwick 01-18-2019 02:40 PM

Something you don't want to experience. You get cold air blowing across a warm lake. The moisture raises from the lake and mixes with the cold air making for HEAVY snow. I'm 160 miles south of Lake Erie and get it this far south. When that machine turns on. You get snow measured in feet.

That'll all depend on what time we arrive on Thursday. I highly doubt it'll be around dinner time. Friday morning for bfast is easy. Any plans though for Fri/Sat dinners?

Susan and I would be game. Could do a run in the morning and bbq for lunch? I'm still processing how all of this will work. Trying to get the most in for only 2 days.

Rusty 01-18-2019 03:29 PM

Just had some moron pull a u turn on the interstate. I got to dodge them by riding the shoulder while the car tried to pull itself into the ditch from slush building up in the warning grooves on the shoulder. I freaking hate people.

i chatted with susan, and we both agree you guys should start driving wednesday, she mentioned you guys had friends in VA that you could stay with, then you could make the 2nd half of the drive on thursday which would get you there at a reasonable time.
