I hate mircofiber. I like using old terry cloth towels.

I'm running the 245/275 combo. I'll go measure it.

I'd recommend going 15/15mm then. If kenchan was here, he would be able to give you exact proper sizes for everything.

Any way to get out without spending $200 or are the less expensive ones total crap? (I probably already know the answer).

I bought mine used from someone here for a whole $90. Just have to sop around. The FB for sale page usually has a few.

Leingod 09-13-2018 08:19 AM

New issue with GF's versa I guess. She just said she was driving to work and her revs randomly went high even though she wasn't applying any further gas.

BoneZ 09-13-2018 08:28 AM

Extended studs and a stack of washers. Done!

The Rag Company has lots of other microfiber options that aren't as expensive as the ones I use on the car. I have purchased a wide variety over the years, each dedicated to various tasks around the house. Cotton and terry cloth are good to have for a certain uses as well

Hah well now she's got an entire collection she can use on whatever she wants ;) It's tough to adjust your thinking when you don't grow up in a car family, and are accustomed to using the rags for multiple purposes.

I’m team ‘never run spacers’. You never want to add an additional slip plane to a bolted connection.

I believe Mr. Bonez recently became a father, which means there is a hold on that anyway, which means this is the ideal time to make threats!

Haha I'm actually married, but do realize that some of my planning may be short sighted ;) Actually, very luckily, my wife enjoys cars quite a bit as well.

BoneZ 09-13-2018 10:32 AM

So here's my thoughs. I measured the distance from my outer wheel wells to the sidewall of my tires using a plum bob, averaging each side to account for uneven ground. I'm getting 10mm in the rear and 25mm in the front.

Now this having been said, it might be more cost effective to get the cheaper 5mm rings from Z1 since I wouldn't need to extend the studs.

https://www.z1motorsports.com/brakes...mm-p-3118.html

...and bolt on 20mm for the front.

https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-pro...mm-p-5392.html

That might work.

I’m actually pretty luck myself. The wife pushed me over the edge in buying the turbo kit. She’s also the first one to tell me when I need time with my boys

Nissan is extending the warranty on some of their CVT's.Might want to check with your local Nissan dealer.

I go to get off the elevator back at work and a group of people are on the other end. Everyone sees me as I proceed to walk get off. Nope, fat old miserable lady shoves past me to get on. Not in the mood today, i just looked at her while speaking to everyone saying "thank you for not being fat c***s." Her mouth just dropped as I walked away.

My wheels are tucked in after installing the springs. Not horribly bad, but enough to irritate me. I could just easily get some spacers, but as much as I drive, Im a little concerned about safety. Ive put 20k+ miles in a little over 4 months :driving:- I drive to Az frequently and my job has me driving alot to different locations. On my trips to Az, its not uncommon for me to cruise at 80-85 mph.
Plus I dont want to remove the wheels to check torque on the spacers as often as I will need to!
