On my trips to Az, its not uncommon for me to cruise at 80-85 mph.

Plus I dont want to remove the wheels to check torque on the spacers as often as I will need to!

When you add a slip plane to a bolted connection you are doubling the shear force it sees. Now there’s a huge safety of factor on bolts but S.Fs are for unknowns (i.e. flaws in machining or material strength etc.), not to be used knowingly. If you pull up to a Discount Tire with spacers on they will turn you away. All the tracks I know of have the same rules. People use spacers everyday, I’m just not one of them.

Probably holds more than my G. I left it at a buddy’s one night and told him to drive it and see if he thought anything was off. He drove it to the grocery store and figured he could buy a lot more than normal since he wasn’t in the Z. Boy was he mistaken.

Getting pretty excited for visiting Rusty's iHOB (international house of bushings!) EW, have you made arrangements to crash the party yet? You know you want to.

Someone commented the Florence was going to be a b!tch and I said yes she is (my ex-wife's name is Florence)

bunk 09-13-2018 02:36 PM

An old customer of mine called me today. His business partner said he picked up a bunch of new clients and wants to hire me full time (NOOOOOO!) I politely declined, then he offers me a contract.... to do work for them on the days Ive reserved for visiting my brother. I told him Ill let him know. Havent really talked $$ but I have a good idea of what theyre willing to pay me. I think Ill decline that offer too. Spending as much time with my brother is more important to me.

Remember, money can't buy happiness. But it can buy Z parts, which is pretty much the same thing!

But seriously, you're making the right choice.

Sound decision. Money only goes so far man. I discovered years ago that once you have enough for bills, necessities, retirement and a little play money (toys and vacation), the rest you just accumulate **** with. It doesn’t make a real difference in your life.

JARblue 09-13-2018 03:06 PM

I refuse to make business decisions based on money. I have lost out on some opportunities with that thinking. But none of them were with people or companies that I felt would have benefited me in any way other than padding my bank account. No regrets.

Joby, I think you better stock up on more things. You might be without power for awhile. Also get a SeaEagle inflatable boat and some life jackets.

Looking forward to you coming out.

It's Rusty's Little Shop of Horrors. You never know what might be coming out of my garage. :rofl2: This week was making a stand for a 55 gal drum. This weekend. Rebuilding the front brake calipers and installing stainless brake lines on my PowerWagon. Next week is making a new table top for a patio table. Then your Z.

Take 79 down to 70 in Washington. Take 70 East to Toll 43 South. Get off at Exit 26 Brownsville. I'm 1.5 miles from the exit.

Waynesburg is south west of me. From me to 79 in Washington is about a 35 to 40 minute drive.

The thinking is. JL gets here Friday the 21st. Raise his Z up and let it cool off. Do some small stuff. Saturday morning, start bustin' azz. Sunday morning, think I might take them up to Ohio Pyle. :driving:
