No. They are two different things. Rep count can be found under a users name. Normally when a person is helpful or posts a good DIY thread, you can give them a rep. This thread spams and abuses the rep system to inflate the numbers.

You can give people reps by clicking on the icon under their name. Icon looks like a scale to me. Enter a short message so people know it was you and they can return them.

Be warned, some members take these do nothing internet numbers way too seriously and will send PMs or other ways of letting you know if you fail to return a rep in a timely manner or you havent repped them in a certain amount of time. It can be a pain in the azz, you have been warned. If you want to see who repped you, you can click on User CP and it should show you the list of reps you have received.

I drove down the street I grew up on the other day and the neighborhood is so shitty and run down.

Why is reddit being moronic again.... Getting pop-ups upon every loaded page to create an account and r/all hasn't updated since yesterday. Time to tweak my filter policies again and clear some cached junk. And the new layout is a joke.
