Only when i am a multi millionaire and living a lavished lifestyle free of everyday concerns will I be unbothered. Until then, I will freak out when my mac and cheese doesn't cook according to the 4 minute rule on the boxed instructions.

JARblue 06-25-2018 12:11 PM

I have an easy solution for that problem: don't eat microwave mac and cheese.

GF wanted that Annie's organic stuff.... It was gross. Just give me a basic box of Kraft and some butter.

Another gorgeous day here in Chicago. Last full week at my current job.....needless to say, I am 110% checked out. :rofl2:

What are we, barbarians?! No mac n' cheese?! Why not just forbid us happiness while you're at it!

JARblue 06-25-2018 12:17 PM

Boxed mac and cheese is garbage. You're enough of a foodie you should have an Instapot. It's like a microwave for real food.

Heresy! Ok, not really. Mac N Cheese is one of my go-to's when I do silly things like forgetting to eat for 20+ hours because I'm working on projects, and abruptly realize I need 1200 calories in a few minutes.

I do, but it was last second decision time. If it were up to me, i'd have made some homemade with crumbled potato chips broiled over top.

You never need 1200 calories in a few minutes :icon17:

Just have a snack bar or some nuts or fruit. Then when you have time, treat yourself to a real meal as a reward for your hard work

Currently an IT PM at a national commercial insurer. I manage the production support team for our policy systems. Lately though I find myself doing more financial and data analytics since offering to help about 8months back. Apparently no one is good at excel in my group and the quality of the financial reports are appalling. I don't mind it but it's not something I want to do day in and day out.

Will be returning to my prior company doing strategy consulting in the Insurance IT space. Had an opportunity I couldn't pass up. 17 months in industry and I was dying to get back to the consulting world so good timing.

That's absolutely the right way to go. It's also something I don't think about when I'm working on a project. Abruptly, I'll realize I'm starving and near the point of collapse.

I often eat once a day, going 16 or more hours between meals. Unlike your skinny a$$, my body can eat itself for sustenance :rofl2:

Enjoying day off, picked up Shakira finally from the body shop. Went to sticker store to get the gas gauge overlay measure for making new one, added air to the tires, installed dash cam and working on mood lights later today and touch up chipped paint spots.
