Morning fellas!

Wrapped up the first round of prep work and tile in the bathroom last night around 10 pm. Floor is about 2/3rds done, fortunately it's a small room. I had a few tricky cuts to make but nothing too crazy. Big big upgrade from the original tile.

I was going to upload a pic but I think I left my cell phone in the car...

eastwest2300 05-01-2018 07:15 AM

My spring broke a few years back. Got a new spring installed and the garage door opener failed when we tested the new spring :shakes head:

Bought a new Marantz opener (it's damn near silent) with a fully insulated door. Oh and the new door came with a new spring :rolleyes:

This is an easy fix, the line just snapped on the left side. Springs look fine. I can push it up with ease. I let the pros **** with it though. Them springs scare me lol.

So tempted to rent a car in ATL (maybe a nice upgrade ;)) and drive up for the weekend. I'm sure I could find someone that has a porch or something where I could set up my cot.

:iagree: I started messing with it myself. Took about 15 minutes for the fear to sink in before I called someone else to do it.

Hahah I did the whole install for mine, even after discovering the "complete kit" did not include the locking bars used to tension the spring. I ended up using ratchet extensions, which were surprisingly effective, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't afraid of things going catastrophically wrong, especially as wound spring tension slowly increased.

Ghostvette 05-01-2018 08:42 AM

:hello::hello:

At the insistence of the GF, I went to see the pee-pee doc.....:icon14:

Script for Flo-max and first dose taken last night. No getting up in the middle of the night :icon17:

This morning, it sounds like my head is congested. So.... it appears to be working on that side of things.... :roflpuke2:

Bathroom pictures (Jlarson style, not EW - don't worry). I'll be going over the tiled walls with bead board and trim. My normal inclination would be to tear it all out, but the wife has been watching too much HGTV and likes the look of bead board so we'll give it a shot.

Seriously, I wouldn't recommend it. It was a bad idea - but one I happened to get away with.

But I just got one from another member. hahaha. The pictures are to just hold me over until it arrives. I'm like a little kid. And not a fan of the duckbill now. Idk, just looks tacky to me. Idk of many spoilers that can add another spoiler without it looking asinine.
