Mr. Madwi will be happy to know I have the polish home making him polish rye bread alongside the pierogies.

No need to catch fish to have fun. I've literally thrown a line with a bobber attached (nothing else) and had a grand ol' time while it sat there for four hours

Hit up K1 Speed for the first time this weekend. Never done anything like that before. It was a lot of fun :driving:

First race I got first place by setting the fastest lap. I was surprised considering it was my first time out and I was all over the place, but not surprised at the same time considering the competition in that heat. The second race was against a lot more experience. I improved my best lap time by a full second but was still 1.5 seconds off pace and finished 7th. I bought 8 races, so I'm looking forward to more racing soon!

Now I don't have to think about that again for a few months. On to the external re-certification audits! First time with ISO9001:2015 edition. That should be a blast.

How's everyone this morning?

I remember going through the ISO 9000 certs years ago. And it was a PITA.

Mr. Rusty, im gonna send you a PM sir.

Hasn't changed. But AS9100 was worse. Knowing how to do it keeps my services in demand, so I can't say it bothers me too much, but definitely the most stressful time of year for me.

Fowarded my down payment for sponsored wrap job as of this morning. Gotta wait for body pieces to show up then gonna drive it back down to LA again and leave it there for a week :D

When I went through it. It was when ISO 9000 certs first came out. Nobody knew anything about it at that time. For the company I worked for at that time. It was just another way of covering your asss with a paper trail. :shakes head:

Man, Im not gonna lie, I'm having a really really good day today...

eastwest2300 04-23-2018 02:51 PM

Ohhh fellas, sooo when I was installing my side blades, I removed my mud guards on my Z, and to my surprise, my Z had a magnetic black AND a black cherry colored mud guard... needless to say, I threw them both out... cant do anything with 2 different colored mud guards..how the hell does that happen?

I'm fortunate in that it's much better established now. There are way more industry standards for how to operate. In some ways it still IS a form of CYA, when it's done wrong. Used correctly, it provides a lot of valuable information on how your business should operate (but it's also a big difference from early editions). Still... it's bureaucracy. That means lot's of paperwork.

eastwest2300 04-23-2018 05:23 PM

Michigan's 1st 75 degree day, I just took my azz for a nice 5 mile run with my dog Nismo... She's completed gassed a la "limp mode"...

Took us 3 times to get through the audits. Everytime we thought we nailed it. The auditors would find something to reject us.

We will see lol. Coolant shipped today so this coming weekend I should have everything on hand to install the oil cooler. The Fit needs an oil change, need to look up what filter and weight oil that thing takes.

Haha yeah it can be rough. I came into the company I'm with now while they were still working through QMS design. Passed the first ever certification audit for them with 1 minor. Following year, no findings at all. This year is the second surveillance audit, but with an upgrade to 9001:2015, so it's all new. Now's when I find out if I have interpreted the spec at all well for a brand new ISO system.... we'll see. I think we'll have a couple minor findings, but come through ok.

Put the wrap down and slowly back away. B pillars are done, give it some time and think about things before wrapping more parts. :icon17:
