dude, I would say while you're in the mood to spend money, it would be a good idea to pick up those front camber arms, you could knock out both at the same time.. the springs and camber arms.

yeah I dont have the $700+ for those.

Undo bolts and remove stock pieces

Lay aftermarket adjustable pieces on top of stockarms and adjust to match

Install and tighten bolts.

You are now starting from stock references instead of the chaos if unlimitited possibility and will save your hair from being pulled out.

Tighten bolts again.

eastwest2300 04-02-2017 07:12 PM

hey scott, so after checking out that thread.. how do you feel about it? We'll take our time, if it takes us 6 hours, Im ok with that..

eastwest2300 04-02-2017 07:12 PM

The rears will take us an hour max, its the fronts that will take us some time.

You can score SPC for half that or less if you keep an eye out. Don't remember what I sold mine for but was around $350 I think

Going to watch Walking Dead and Black Sails tonight. If WD sucks it will get turned off. Been to slow to keep my interest lately so my tolerance is low.

The rear toe arms may come with new eccentric bolts and some have a template to wallow out the hole for more adjustment. I'm not a fan of this personally as it creates a weak point that can potentially slip, so I didn't do it. Becomes your call based on how hard you will push the car around.

There really isn't much to it. Rent or buy a spring compressor set for the fronts. The rears just jack the car up and pop them out, literally. Push the mid-link down and they will be loose enough to slide them out.

Pro tip: dont out jackstands under the midlink when, lifting the car lol

And a second jack to lift them back up is helpful. Even just the cars own scissor jack.

Would it be considered justifiable homicide when you neighbor decides to mow her grass while you've got the intake plenum off of the engine?
I at least cursed a bit (and rushed to get it covered up).

Yup the seller tossed in the bolts. I was hoping I didnt have to elongate the hole. Great information, thank you.

It will depend on how much adjustment you need after the Swifts are on. You can either: leave it as best you can get it, wallow out for the eccentric, or buy adjustable SPL mid-link arms (which aren't cheap).

Are they springs new or used? If new they will settle over a few hundred miles so keep that in mind too.

They are new, I suppose i'll just drill it out for the eccentric bolts so I dont have to **** with it later, which is bound to happen with my luck. :icon17:
