I've noticed as of late there is not such thing as free parts sponsorship, but plenty of at cost sponsorships so I wasn't automatically turned off from it. That's why I was looking for contructive input and experience with them.

I tried it for ***** and giggles. 5% discount. I was able to get sponsorships myself with better discounts
