I have a 60" right now and want to bump up to 65" or 70".

Kinda looks high, but Mrs. BoneZ has a clock that goes on the mantle.

I'm happy with ym 55 inch. Anything bigger an it's a waste to the eyes from a distance. 55 inch is roughly 8-10 feet. Anything less won't allow your eyes to see all of the screen. To far and the finer details begin to fade.

I've got a heavy amount of EDM going on currently while I set up a full house audio system that streams to every speaker I have deployed. Been working on it for most of the day. Working beautifully. Can traverse room to room without the music dulling or not being in-sync. Up next are lights and ceiling fans by remote. Gotta love chromecasts and raspberry pi's.

i wasnt comparing it against the mantle, i just thought the placement was higher dan usual but most restaurants and bars have tv's up high so i guess datz also cool

usually the natural watching line of sight for a screen is ur eyes level around the top of the screen from your seating position. datz all

Correct. This all depends on how far the sight of line is from TV to couch. But it does seem a bit high for normal viewing in a living room. On the same thing, it cuts shadows from that height.
