I get nervous driving the Z at times when around massive bro-trucks or 18 wheelers. Can only image trying to drive a smart car or a 1950's isetta.
yup they were. when you would hit vtec it would go bwahhhhhhhhhhhhh. loved hearing that sound. i would always redline lol

yeah where i live there's a lot of lifted trucks. once there was a guy behind me i could literally fit below his truck how high it was lol. i was hoping he was paying attention otherwise he would run over me

Does the Z have any decent crash test ratings? I remember looking around the time I bought mine, but much wasn't available.

Car and Driver crashed their test Z by driving a stock car like it was built for the track and overheated the brakes. I'm pretty sure the driver lived

There are several threads here about people wrecking their cars. IIRC most were buttraped by inattentive drivers....

Mr. Onzedge is still alive. His original 370Z got trashed pretty good by a pickup truck that pulled out in front of him.

Glad to know I have a remote chance of surviving a decent crash.

Found a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. May go test it out. I'm not afraid of newer Hyundais. Seems they've come a long way from being a joke of the auto world. Still stay away from all things Kia though.

Just so you know, Kia & Hyundai are made by the same folks....

Check out the Optima too. Basically same car but more handsome, in my opinion.

If I get the Cayman, I'll probably do most of the service myself, outside of heavy work (clutch and the like). I'm looking at moving to a house after the first of the year, so I'll have garage space to work on stuff again. I've got almost as much $$ tied up in tools as I do in my Z....

that would be awesome, because i'm thinking they would probably try to charge you like $200 for an oil change or something. sometimes the upkeep is more than the car itself

Tires and my driving are the only reason my wife hates the Z. I spend nearly $2K per year on tires. One full set plus a 2nd set of rears is standard for me.

She doesn't seem to understand that I could have paid for a new-to-me DD with two years worth of tire funds.
