The New "What did you do with your Z today" (with off topic replies) XXIV

Baking my tailpipes in the oven right now to set the urethane ceramic clearcoat. Going to take a few hours all said and done but hopefully it's a harder finish

Whatever until the spokes snap in half from hitting a pot hole. i've seen and read to many horror stories to cheap out on wheels.

Well **** that's no darn good. I've never even heard of that happening, but not so fond of being the first either.

I'd better ask Anthony about the quality control of these things..

Varrstoen? There is none. That's part of the reason they're so cheap. That and cheaping out on the manufacturing process

If you need a second set of wheels at steeply discounted prices, the OEM wheels are pretty much the best option. I think? you can fit a 325 tire on the 10.5" wide rear Nismo wheels.

Way to rain on my parade lol

Yeah I'd looked into the 2015 Nismo wheels and set is about $1800. The Work T7R I don't mind as well is just a hair more. I just kinda like he idea of half that price is all. If money were no object I'd be ordering a set of Advan GTs.

Obviously there are compromises, but if safety is the compromise then that's clearly not a very good one.

Mainly track people or hitting potholes 3 feet deep, but it still happens. Just launching can snap spokes. i'd just be careful is all. They're knockoffs and cheap for a reason.
