The new pads and extra soft backer I ordered for my Bosch da came in yesterday so I'll get to it on the weekend.

Still contemplating if I want to lightly wetsand the factory paint first. It probably isn't the best idea but will see

Only one way to find out probably wont be that bad but watch edges and transition curves.

I burned through the clear on my old Z.

With 3M fine rubbing compound.

By hand.

That's really not good

Maybe if they shot an extra coat of clear they could have floated out some of their orange peel

Oh I remember the other conversation about this thin a** paint. im definitely starting to think I should just leave well enough alone.

Going to drive me nuts, but probably less so than burning through the clear would.
