Actually, I had exactly the opposite thought shortly after it happened. The chunk kicked into the middle lane after me and hit a Honda Civic in the lane next to me. It pretty much broke her front bumper in half, rolled up her hood and cracked her windshield. After inspecting my damage to make sure I could drive to a shop for a better look, I walked down to the road to check on her. I was immediately thankful my situation wasn't worse. She was ok, but the car wasn't going anywhere; she had already called her roadside assistance.
