I know right, but it would rip your face off going through corners.

Then I will have to adjust the nitrous solenoids to try and break them loose :icon17:

Re-71e dont come in sizes I want. RE-11 looks liek they do, I had them on my 350z and loved them.

The thing with RE11 now is actually finding a set remaining in the size you want. I managed to track some down for my 18's but it took a bit. Rears from one place fronts from another. Then 1010tires screwed me up and shipping the new Indy 500's by mistake - and during that couple day mistake they sold the front RE11 that were supposed to come to me. So.. I ended up with RE11 rear and RE71 front, st an additional discount. I was sick of looking at that point and the ratings are the same so went with it. Have more under steer than I'd like right now but that just means I need to put more skinny pedal into my corners :driving:

Curbed a wheel today - not on the Z. About a 2" long section right on the edge of the wheel.

Wheel is not out of balance, just scraped down to the bare aluminum and rough.

1. Ignore it = free :ugh2:
2. DIY fix = almost free, probably look pretty bad, won't last that long :ugh2:
3. "Mobile Wheel Repair" = $75 - $100, probably look good but likely air-dry paint that is not very durable, some negative reviews on yelp/google+
4. "Immobile wheel repair" = $150 - $175, this shop in Fortville specializes in wheel repair and does high $$ stuff and gets lots of recommendations from the local autocross crowd. Luxury dealers use him quite a bit. It's a 1.5 hour round trip.
5. New wheel = $347 shipped + mount/balance, I could keep the curbed wheel as a spare/have it repaired I suppose

I'm leaning toward #4 as I think it's kinda silly to buy a brand new wheel for 2" curb rash and it's also $250 cheaper.

Anyone had good luck with wheel refinishing like that?

Didn't happen while parking, I actually very lightly bumped the curb while driving avoiding some moron who was driving down the middle of the street and didn't move over when I approached. I should have let her hit my car, then whatever damage would be up to her insurance company to figure out, instead of me. :shakes head:

Dooood, it's a 4DSC, awd, and pretty quick. Meets all the reqs. And it looks great in blue. But it's still 6k more than the model 3.

Or a Range Rover, he wouldn't know what to call it. Ford, Range Rover, jaguar, fisker, Aston Martin . :icon14:

A buddy just picked up a Focus ST last Saturday. Not sure which engine but it's the 265hp model. Took me for a spin and it's got a bit of jam to it. Felt like he was short-shifting but I didn't want to ask. Needs exhaust and a tune in a big way - or at least just a tune. The Recaro seats it comes with are cats ***!

Looks same as this one

I've seen flawless jobs and terrible jobs. It's worth paying for the best. Around here there is only one guy I would use, and that's because he's the best. It's one of those things you definitely get what you pay for.
