I think JAR's been through several MC's since he's owned the car; he must have got the one that the assembly guy was hung over when it was put together (too much sake and too many "BANZAI's" at the hostess bar the night before :bowrofl: )

I'm looking at subbie foresters.

I would say anything AWD is good for a winter/ DD where you live. Our old Mazda 3 was good in the snow but it had no pick me up and go at all, although the 2.5l option has some balls to it.

Mine never failed. I installed the Z1 kit over 2 years ago at 51K miles. Been working great the last 30K miles. But the OEM master kept failing. I bought the RJM HD master as soon as it was available. Then I botched the install... sort of. Been down for over two weeks now trying to fix it. I just haven't had the time. Should have done this two weeks ago.

And apparently kept getting ones from the same incompetent assembler. I went through 4 of the OEM masters before getting the RJM HD master. Two on the stock pedal, two on the RJM pedal. Properly adjusted. No difference in failure rate. 20K miles was about all I ever got on one :shakes head:

No miles yet on the RJM master. Very :excited: to :driving:

I've seen as much of the world as I care to, for right now. I spent 20 years doing it on Uncle Sam's dime, I want some 'go-faster' stuff now.... :driving:

Then I'll worry about the house, and land and and and and and... :excited:

Yea, the subbies and volvos are looking promising. Subbie just scares me with high mileage cars and the known head gasket issues they all suffer from.

Then again, I have only ever driven FWD cars in winters. So I can survive with them them. I believe the Mazda's I was looking at were the 2.5L versions. A forester would take some "go-fast" mods easily enough though.

Found a Ford Escape from a local guy I know well. Asking $6,500. I may have to go inspect it hahaha.

hey I talked with the lady from work that has the cottage near the beef jerky place you were curious about. She said there is another store closer to Grand Rapids, so if you have some items you want me to pick up and ship, let me know.

Pay it off and save until 2019-2020. You can pay cash for a Tesla or buy a used RS!!

I'm hoping mine fails while I'm barely still under warranty, which is in about 4 years, and Nissan has finally released an updated part that solves the problem and which will be installed happily, professionally, and free-of-charge by my dealer.

A guy can dream, right? :icon14:

Good food for thought. I want to run 275/325 so would need more offset than that, plus just to complicate things even further I want just shy of flush and not excessive camber (in a perfect world -1.0f/-1.5r). I just have to be difficult I guess! I'll have to play around with the numbers and see what will work to make that happen.

I'm sure that combo has been done before. Must be something like +30/+25.

Plus there is stock of PSS in 275/325, I checked already the other day :icon17:
