I'm wondering how concerned I should be. My boss is out for a while sicne his mother passed away. i'm the only I.T. guy currently. I've gotten 6 tickets today

I'm wondering how concerned I should be. My boss is out for a while sicne his mother passed away. i'm the only I.T. guy currently.
I've gotten 6 tickets today alone laying off 6 people. Rumor is going around they plan to lay off 14 more people after memorial day. Supposedly "every" department is having layoffs. The kicker is that my department consists of myself and my boss. uhhhhhhh. I'm nervous guys. Real nervous.
