if you're the only IT person that does tickets, i highly doubt you'll get fired lol. when they do a clean up, rarely do IT people go.

But actually there's a good question in there...

Is the plug-in electromagnet faster than a speeding bullet :icon17:

True. But I doubt anybody will be looking for wiped partitions while I am being escorted out the door. A few hours later and they'll finally start to catch on.

Just for now. My boss can handle all the tickets, but is out due to a passing in his family. So i am safe for now. But word is spreading of more layoffs after memorial day. I expect my boss to definately be back by then. And while our "i.t. dept" consists of just us, the higher ups may only see it fit to have a single person to cut costs in the short term.

Sickening to think about really. This place is very short sighted. Phenomenal when things are going great, but scary as hell when they have a 2 million deficit to fill. I don't get how they can just up and lay-off people without a single warning. Just on the street now with no jobs.

Leingod 05-20-2016 07:54 AM

Oh well. We shall see what comes my way by June. As for now, I just have to make it through today. Then I can start the weekend with some proper beers. Tomorrow will be a nice relaxing morning staring at the Z while at the coffee shop outside, and going to a food truck rodeo in the evening with 40+ beer samples to taste test. Hoping to get some golf or detailing the Z on Sunday.

And if I do end up not having a job soon, it might just be the finally kick in the arse needed to leave NY. I'm not loosing the Z!!

The Portuguese are taking over here slowly. Let's fire 20+ people, but hire 3 more straight-from-Portugal people who can hardly speak English. So I wouldn't say I'd be shocked.

Port I.T.: Como Estas?
Cust Serv: I need toner!
Port I.T.: Uno en dos tacos?
Cust Serv: Can I speak to someone in your department who speaks English?
Port I.T.: sushi!

Leingod 05-20-2016 08:02 AM

Just let me upgrade my damn poor servers, mess around with my scripts, yell at my AD for disabling a password, and blacklist more I.P.s attacking a new honeypot I set up.

A company will only realize how crucial I.T. is once they're already gone. Especially when only 2 people in the company know how to run very specific and custom built software.

Leingod 05-20-2016 08:04 AM

On a happy note. I remembered that I look damn good in my Alfani dress shirt, Alfani skinny tie, Van Huessen skinny dress pants, and Clarks dress shoes.

Leingod 05-20-2016 08:04 AM

Might give Kernchan a run for his money with his Nordstrom shopping spree.

Leingod 05-20-2016 08:05 AM

It is hard to keep a properly tucked shirt though when you're in waist-high dress pants while entering and exiting a lowered Z.

I am wearing a Datsun Z shirt, and I must say, I look damn good also :)

Leingod 05-20-2016 08:06 AM

And fak! They just got rid of one of the older sales people. He was a nice guy. Annoying and somewhat PC illiterate, but nice.

You're making OnZ proud

Leingod 05-20-2016 08:08 AM

I better not watch any youtube videos for a week or 2 until things get back to normal.

lol... corporations only care about making money. so if you make $20 an hour and they can fire you and hire two people for $10 an hour they will do that. they don't care about morals.... i work for a multi multi multi multi billion dollar corporation. if you think that's bad, you would crap yourself here lol

That is the one I have on.

It is a collector's item. Blip shift got a cease and desist order because the Z in the sun is a copyright violation.

I am still planning on my move look for when I don't have to shave for a month. I might do handle bars with lightning bolt side burns, and a high and tight comb over.

Masterbeatty 05-20-2016 08:28 AM

I just looked on insta of zdayz coverage, and there are some wicked cool cars there. Chris Forsberg's Z is awesome.

I was unaware. Thank you for the information. It makes me glad I have two of them. The other one is the Mr. K special edition with the following quote under the car: "Love cars. Love people. Love life."

Just put in a back door so you can wipe it all remotely over the weekend when no one is there  All from the comfy of the lazyboy :rofl2:

You really need to set up the areas with their own toner storage lol. have delivery people keep the stock up and rotating. Sit back and relax

They're cutting peoples jobs right now. highly doubt they want to hire a third party to replace toner lol.

Sales guy just called. "Windows services won't start"..... just what I freaking need right now. SFC /scannow and hopefully a restore or windows repair will do the trick.
