Sorry to hear, mr.jar. :(

madwi 08-08-2015 03:00 PM

Anyone know if I can use the spare tire holder downer thingy in the hatch as a ground if I remove paint from the top and toss on ring terminal and secure it with a bolt? I really dont want to rip everything out of the hatch :icon17: I am too lazy to get up out of my chair now too to find out.

Everyone is ok. Nothing major

My cousin is staying with them through November while he works in Marble Falls before shipping off to Officer's Training for the Army. He was the one who drove home after the funeral and was first on the scene. He had seen everything askew but noticed his computer and guns and were still there and some paintings knocked off the wall, and his first text to my mom was hilarious:

"It looks like either a deer tore through the house or an earthquake hit." :rofl2:

JARblue 08-08-2015 03:11 PM

Oh and I just picked up the Honda after tint and interior/exterior protectant application. The car is too dirty to really inspect properly and the trunk deck lid is swirled worse than when I dropped it off

I'm going to go home and wash it and see what it looks like at that point. Then I will take it back to them for correction. Good old dealer$hits lol

IDK if I would trust them to fix it at this point. come back with no paint left... "See! No swirls!"

Wrap looks pretty decent. Think I will see how much real CF pieces cost.

Would that be the perseids? They are supposed to peak through next week.

Yeah, that sucks. When you pay a "professional" to do something and they half-*** it, it really makes you wonder if the average person just doesn't care at all. :shakes head:

No kidding. But we paid for 5 years of interior/exterior coverage. So I can nitpick all I want. It's just a matter of how much do I want to inconvenience myself taking the car in to get them to fix every minor little thing.

I tried to let them know ahead of time that I was going to be an a$$hole :icon17:

When it comes to the condition of the exterior, I don't need them to fix every minor thing right away. But I will absolutely make sure to document everything and have them fix several at once. I am thinking 2-4 trips to the dealer per year for any necessary polishing or even repainting. We get a free loaner, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal. And that gives me more time to focus my detailing attention to the Z :)

kenchan 08-08-2015 05:35 PM

Dealers give out many free things.. headaches, swirls, broken power windows, etc.. :ugh:

Davey 08-08-2015 05:39 PM

Didn't take the Z out today, either. On the way back from the salon, we saw the police pulling people over left and right, handing out tickets.

My wife said, "Well, you could just drive the speed limit."

Then we both laughed really hard. :rofl2:

madwi 08-08-2015 07:42 PM

Let there be tunes! Good news, Door speakers sound GREAT. Bad news, I thought I got the drivers side molex plug back in but it wasnt. I can't get it to latch tight. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.

*Edit* screw that plug, went out and fixed it :icon17:
