From what I understand Richard Griot bought the Piloti name. And in true Griot's fashion, raised the prices to ridiculous levels. Not the first time Piloti has been resurrected either.

Not the first time Piloti has been resurrected either. They went under a couple of years ago, too. I've still got a couple of pair (had 5 or 6 pair at one time), but won't pay the prices they want for them now. Edit: I was incorrect, they're now owned by Canadian Tire. http://drivenwheels.com/piloti-drivi...ke-a-comeback/ Griot has sort of insinuated in his catalog that he was the one that brought them back.
