Nissan 370Z Forum

What are you paying for a gallon of Premium?

Things in Puerto Rico are awful, guy! Just to give you an idea: The base 370Z costs here $50,000!!! Probably, more that the NISMO, where you live! Ain't that highway

That's why I had to get me an '04.5 Touring Coupe; it had only 13k on her, 'cause her original owner used to own a Pub and hardly ever used her. It's turned out to be one reliable, sweet ride! So far, the only thing that has failed on me is the driver's side power window motor; I paid $161.00, plus the old motor, at Advance Auto Parts. No Problemo! Greetings from P.R.! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you: My son's stationed at Laredo with the B.P.--Laredo South Sector. He also bought a used '04.5 Z, the Enthusiast model, though; and his has given him no pains, so far, either. Funny thing is, while his mother and I were visiting with him there, in Sept., gas prices were equal to Puerto Rico's. All of a sudden, they've skyrocketed down here!

He's also only had to replace a window motor, 7 times by my last count!

I think it's his way of talking himself out of buying a 370z!

I'm not worried about the price of gas as much as I'm worried about my mpg...

Since I've had the car (still less than 800 miles), I've averaged 16mpg! No crazy racecar driving, plenty of cruising at 58mph in 6th gear. That seems awfully low. Of course, I would have gotten an Altima if I cared too much about it. I just figured 18 mpg would be the minimum, not 15.9.

my mpg went up drastically after only a few tanks of gas. 16mpg avg babying, early shifting, keeping the revs down etc. now i do 19-20mpg fairly consistantly and i romp on it probably too often

if you have an iPhone i recommend getting the app "Gas Cubby." you can use it to keep track of maintenance and fillups very easily with mpg, $/gal, overall spending records. it's also exportable to excel should you feel the neccesity. also, works for multiple cars, not just one, and it's like 6 or 7$. if you do your own maintenance on your car you need to keep track of it including mileage for your factory warranty to be honored so that's why i got it.

I use goat urine, seems to last longer and it's cheap.

Otherwise, in PHX it's around $2.90.

Roughly about $3 here for Premium. Luckily my 2005.75 ZX6R gets roughly 33MPG.
