I would proofread my ex's BS through PhD papers and know what you mean. I would often have to set it aside for a while and try to clear my mind.

Spell-check does a great job of finding the obvious mistakes but is not the final solution. Even the best of spellers will use "their" instead of "they're" or "there" every now and then and spell-check just doesn't cut it. But I'm probably preaching to the choir so carry on and
