I started a similar thread on here. As with this thread, it only seemed to amuse those that can use English properly (or close enough to be easily understandable*). But don't give up; maybe it will help someone.

*I'm far from perfect but most people seem to be able to understand what I write.

Oh really?! I thought I saw something awhile ago that was kind of in the same spirit. Not sure if it was your thread. Trying to keep it comical in this one. I think it is easier for people to digest and maybe pay attention if I'm not being a righteous *******. So I'll just threaten massive bodily harm if they don't comply.

I'm for whatever works. If this thread makes one person decide to eschew text-speak, it was worth it.

I get their, et al, confused every now and then. Spell-check is no help.

If I don't proofread I find all kinds of **** that makes me cringe. Even then I, and many others, miss things. No big deal. I'm just pointing out the truly screwed up stuff.

As I said... it doesn't necessarily apply to neatness. It applies to correct usage of words. You really think I care about perfect grammar? Hell no and I don't use it often. But I do take issue when you say your breaks are having problems. Get my point? I'm pretty sure I spelled that out in the preface.

if i know wat the poster meant, who cares. its like telling your boss if he got a part of a part number or something wrong while he was explaining the situation and you all know wat he was talking about.

you going to stop the entire conversation just to nip pick that? something definitely wrong with you if that is the case.

Spelling and punctuation can make a big difference in what a sentence means; for example:

I am helping my Uncle Jack off the horse.
- or...
I am helping my Uncle jack off the horse.

One capital letter changes the whole meaning.
