Don't feel the need to spend your entire visit on the west coast, you could start over here in Orlando where I live and cover the whole country! Better yet you could start in Seattle and head this way ending up in Key West, cover the whole country and visit the southernmost city of the United States! Would only take about 2 weeks. lol. Seriously if you get to the US I cannot recommend any sites on the west coast but I would say if you get the chance try to see New Orleans or Key West. Two great places.
