Default Fast Intentions CF Scratched :(

Tony was right, the Exhaust does not sit any lower than the stock exhaust.

Unfortunately, my car is lowered so it was inevitable to keep it unscratched/unscraped. Stupid Speed Bump

Anyone with scratched CF cans? If so, how is your CF holding up? and/or what did you do to take care of it?

Lastly, is the CF wrapped around Stainless Steel? What's underneath it?

Overall, I'm happy with the exhaust. No complaints

Right Can

Left Can

Sorry to hear that man, I know you just got them too. I also see that you're lowered on Eibach springs, and I'm lowering my car with swift, which according to the "lower springs comparisons" chart...Swift lowers the car a tad more than Eibach. The news for my FI exhaust is not good...hahhaha Guess I'll just have to be extra slow over a speed bump.

Thanks bro. Even if it was Stainless Steel, I was going to scrape regardless.

Just gotta be extra careful. I'm not bummed out because I expected it lol

To my understanding the Carbon Fiber is not a wrapped piece over steel, its just carbon fiber.

Go over speed bumps at an angle, one wheel at a time. I scraped a lot but minimized it by going over bumps at an angle.

Are you sure? Looks like CF wrapped stainless steel.

If not, I'm really curious as to how much of CF actually wraps around the SS. What I mean is how far does the SS reaches behind the CF. Because looks like cf was bolted on the SS

I am on swifts and CF FI exhaust for about a year, i have one nick of damage on the right can maybe the size of a tooth(lol my best example).

Dunno, but the only problem I have is that useless front chin spoiler scraping everything and everyone cringing when I pull out of my driveway or a shopping center haha!

You should be in good shape. Also on 305/30/19 tires if anyone wondered(believe the height for the re 11 is like 26.3 inches or something like that in this size out back).

I would double check the install and be careful!

Thanks Faceglide! I shall put install my swifts and FI exhausts with confidence when I get them...hopefully soon, within a month! c'mon number 922! Also, I see you're located in San Jose, I'll have to keep my eyes out for a lowered Cherry Black Z!

Wow, what a burn! The scratches look very minimal. You can buff the "white" out with a good polish. If you do not contribute to the scratches anymore, you should be more than fine.

As for the cans, they do not have stainless steel underneath them. The Carbon Fiber is the actual sleeve to the muffler.

Speed bumps and dips are generally not the issue. It is a steep apex in a driveway that usually does it.

Call me if you have any questions.

Thanks, Tony

If on coilovers, you can do 1.2" drop no problem. Any further and I would really stiffen the compression(or just stiffen the shock in general if not independent).

Totally agree. I believe my damage was from a very steep driveway(my house). There may have been 1 or 2 times where I did not properly angle out(running late to work lol!).

Wait until you get coilovers and scrape on the smallest bumps on the freeway.

I don't even worry about speed bumps.. random dips and bumps on these sh!tty SoCal freeways are what gets me LOL.

I keep thinking about making some sort of shield for this very reason. Something small, half moon shaped, maybe painted black so you cant see it to cup the lower part of the cans. Just to help with small scratches like this. Obviously it would do no good if you hit something really hard.
