The best will be a toss up between the Injen and Stillen G3 intakes, both have their pluses and minuses but I believe that the Stillen intake shows the best peak gains at the moment. I have the Stillens and I love them in every way!

On the G3's I dont like the idea of removing the bumper to clean the filters. (I think the bumper has to be removed, correct me if im wrong.)

Yes for the longer intake tube like AEM, Stillen G3 and Injen CAI, you will need to remove the front bumper to clean the filter. It's not that hard to take off once you get use to it.

Wow. Didn't know that. I thought we only had to remove the bumper for the install. Still, the HP gains might be worth the hassle.

It's cause the filters sit right behind the bumper. Injen and Aem filters sit underneath the headlights and the Stillen are between the headlights. For the Injen and the AEM, you can probably create a opening on the bottom of car to get the filters off.

HP noticeable gain?? Not really, it's just louder in the front at high RPM.

To the op: I like the one I went with, Injen CAI. The only thing you have to do is change the stock window washer fluid reservoir with the Injen customize one(still off my car, who needs it? lol) and the intake just bolts right on. You don't need cut anything. And you can decide to go black or chrome tubes. I went with the black.

I don't why why people always bring up the matter of cleaning the filters off when it only needs to be done every 50,000 miles. That is a couple of years between cleaning for most people and it takes all of 30 minutes to remove the front bumper anyway.

And given the time to take them off, wash them and let them dry, removing the bumper is a very small part of the whole process anyway

The intervals for filter cleaning mainly depends on the conditions the car is driven on, For me the real question here cost, power gains and installation and cleaning procedure. These are numbers from other posts on the forum:

K&N drop ins + HPS tubes= aronund 13 whp costs around 200, easy installation and cleaning.

Stillen G3's= 18 whp costs around 500, mods to install, bumper removal to install and clean.

For me is a 5 whp difference, not worth the money or the hastle, this is my personal opinion.
chuky, ortiz73ca and Cherry.city like this.
