Default Kinetix HFC anyone??

Hello fellows,

Anyone running Kinetix HFC or have decent knowledge of it? The main reason why I'm looking at this particular HFC is because it's CA legal. I also want a HFC because the F.I. CBE I'll be receiving is non-res and I'm afraid TP is too loud (besides the fact that it's illegal in CA).

Any gains? Noise? quality?

Any input regarding Kinetix HFC is appreciated

Ummmmmmm... It's not CA legal, no idea how you figured that out, a non factory cat would never be CA approved, lol

DEpointfive0 is right...no High Flow Cats are legal for this car in California. We can't sell ours in CA because of this. You might be able to pass smog numbers if you don't fail visual. Depends if they will even sell them to you in CA.

I have them on my 350z and I like them a lot. I did pass California smog test with them on and they are not legal in California. I purchased mine through ebay since that was the only way to get them. As far a power not to sure but for sound I think they sound great. I run the Kinectix HFC with a Motordyne XYZ Y pipe and Nismo Catback.

Yeah, and my girlfriend is kinda pregnant

They need a CARB number on them. Why Stillen's intakes come with a sticker. Just because your smog shop didn't do a visual doesn't mean they are legal. Also modern cars with fuel injection run so lean that a HFC passed the sniffer, but I bet you barely passed

How is this even a question? The page from Z1 says " ** Please check local laws regarding catalytic converters. These pipes have passed visuals and sniffer tests in CA (the strictest state on emissions) but they do not have a CARB number associated with them. **"

No CARB, no legal.

I never stated they were Legal. I was simply replying to the Op's question on if anyone had them. The car passed smog at the dealership I work for and not barely passed it passed. I am not sure why you reacted to my post the way you did but I am sorry your girlfriend is kinda pregnant but you might want to work on that some more and do it right the first time.

Its ok. I was not there when it was smoged and I know I didn't ask them to make it passed but maybe they just work like Kinetix says they do.
