I have had them installed in front of a Nismo exhaust for about a year. No CEL. No problems. I do not have a sound clip, but no drone. The combination is just a little deeper at idle and cruise.

I can't help you there. Oklahoma doesn't have annual car inspections/emissions tests any more. The web site says they pass California emissions tests, but are not CARB approved. However, I don't know about Puerto Rico.

Lol, TECHNICALLY no HFCs pass CA's smog test...

In any case, HFCs should RARELY if EVER, cause a CEL, since they DO have a car, the exhaust fumes are cleaned enough for the secondary O2 sensors to KNOW the air has been cleaned.
Also, if you get a CEL, my money is on having an exhaust leak from header to cat. That's where 99.99999% of CELs come from with install of HFCs

Same, but I hope that wasn't said with a thick layer of sarcasm

In Commie CA, ANY modification to the intake and exhaust ISN'T CA approved (few exceptions, Stillen's G3's and their Supercharger kit...)
The reason why any mods to cats doesn't pass is because we use a sniffer here... POS...

But in January, they are going to stop using the sniffer and just go by CEL/plug in to the car... Flip side to that is that they are implementing a new system that if your exhaust isn't "stock looking", you can get pulled over...
The day that happens, I go and buy a Nismo exhaust, and use those tips on my car and tell CA to FO
