Headers or Test pipes or both with stock exhaust?

I run K&N drop in, I did not notice a change in anything. I later bought HPS silicone tubes and still no difference.

Default I mod for performance not sound-as far as sound

test pipes or after market headers when driven on the street make the cars sound like chit. Raspy, crappy, chit!!!! So I don't get it

If you're looking just to sound loud then take the muffler off.

How can it make it sound like crap when its still connected to the stock exhaust with stock mufflers in?

I dont want to change the stock exhaust as I may have issues getting the car through its yearly test here, however a touch more noise would be nice and also freeing up a little bit of power would also be good.

I meant to say if you REPLACE your CATS with test tubes or headers that eliminate cats, it will sound raspy & crappy.

That's what happened to me. After changing my cats with test pipes I almost asked my installer to switch back. He told me, you'll get used to it
"RASPY"

I would recommend listening to them online if not possible in person.

As I thought as the stock design does look good, I may drop in higher flowing panels at some point but the amount of sand where I live it might be best to stick with the stock ones!!
