kdo2milger 08-10-2009 03:24 PM

i stopped by my local dynojet shop this afternoon...i will schedule something early next monday for later in that week, that way i can get a before and after with the Fast Intentions catback.

theDreamer 08-10-2009 03:26 PM

Ooo, that is good for me, looking into the FI exhaust and since we have the same intake. :D

You failed me. You might as well be known as TheNightmare from now on in my book. -100000 rep. :shakes head:

Kidding!

Well not my fault, the dyno shop had an unexpected customer who needed the dyno for tuning and repairs.

You should've told the dyno shop that you had several hundred people on this forum that NEEDED you to get that dyno done ASAP... LOL!

I'm also interested in seeing the numbers out of this intake.. Don't like the idea of taking my front bumper apart each time I need to clean or replace filters and in my country weather can be a real mess...

RCZ 08-10-2009 05:38 PM

^ How often do you clean your filters? isn't it every 15k miles or so ?

Also dreamer, you will ONLY have an intake installed as far as engine performance goes for the dyno right?

Removing the bumper is a 10-15 minute job. I can do it in less time than it takes to take the lower panel off for an oil change. Certainly not a reason to rule out the G3.

pty370z 08-10-2009 06:46 PM

I usually clean my air filters every 10,000 Km which is roughly around 6,500 miles..

The thing is where I live, there is not much long distance driving needed to go places I frequently visit so it actually takes me a while to drive that distance...

I haven't completely ruled out the Gen 3... I'm actually just taking a look at everything that is available and I just wanna make a good decision based on something that will be beneficial for the car and won't be a pain in the nuts after a while...

I am also concerned about the weather here because we have rain coming down 9 out of the 12 months of the year and when we are in the middle of the heavy-rain months there are floods everywhere so, having an intake like the G3 could be an issue...

The one that I did rule out was the Injen.. Numbers are similar to the Stillen G3 and I have to replace the washer fluid tank? (WTF)

Still evaluating... We'll see...

Correct, the intake is the only thing change I will have, so all gains are because of the intake.

are you going to be using the same dyno as in your sig?

kdo2milger 08-10-2009 09:04 PM

also not to go off topic but do you have pics of before and after of that short throw B&M?

theDreamer 08-10-2009 09:12 PM

Yes, the exact same dyno, one reason I am having to wait because he got busy today. No real pictures of the B&M install or before/after, this is all I have - link.

kdo2milger 08-10-2009 09:15 PM

how much shorter than stock would you say it is now?

I think this will be my next mod after the Fast Intensions Catback ;)
