Well, the filters on mine are right where the fang vents are. There's still some heat soak, but there's only so much you can do.

You don't really have the space between the radiator and timing cover to build in a duct with a hood vent/extractor and a pusher fan on the underside of the hood. The angle would be too sharp. That would be the ideal setup if you could pull it off, though.

Exactly. If I was building the car into an unlimited class time attack car, and had a comparatively enormous budget, a custom radiator support would happen + the firewall would be cut and extended rewards so that the engine could be moved back 4-6 inches.
