Yes I can see where it hits the cross member. It goes and comes but I would say it is way more than a rattle. I travel a total of 6 miles to and from work a day. After this Sunday the car will probably never see the light of day until it's time to install the turbos. So for right now I have an old micro fiber rag wedged in between to the exhaust pipe and the cross member until I can figure something out.

Everyone that has anything other than stock components before the mid-pipe/y-pipe has the hiss. I think Motordyne found a way to mitigate it, but it is still there. I feel your pain though. I searched for exhaust leaks for weeks, lol.
Just for reference, I have the Greddy 20G TT kit. The downpipes (2.5" ish) connect straight to the F.I. TT-TDX (3"). My theory is that the difference in piping size contributes to the hiss as well as any places where the pipes split (in my case).

You have to loosen the mid pipe a little from both ends and push it up and tighten them back up....will require 2 people unless you have something you can shove vertically to hold it up while you tighten. Also a lift would help tremendously. I had the same problem with my greddy exhaust.

A Y pipe with a wider diameter than stock will cause hiss.
I believe the same is true when going to a H or X pipe (other than, I should expect, the OEM Nismo H). Unresonated test pipes will hiss and then rasp on coast down. The only way I know of to avoid it is to keep the Y pipe close to OEM diameter and to have resonated TP's.

Sounds like I'll be sticking with my factory TP then...I like how she sounds just with the Y-pipe and exhaust.

Do you mean the cats?
You can pick up a set of used resonated TP's from someone, and that should eliminate the rasp and 95% of the hiss on coast down anyway. The Y pipe will probably hiss no matter what you do... I went from a wider one back to S-tune (ever so slightly wider than OEM) because I couldn't stand the hiss. Good luck... hopefully you will either get used to it, or find a combo that works.

1) Do you have to buy the Y pipe with this setup for the Beluga CBE? 2) If you don't go with the Y pipe will it change the tone or is the Y pipe more for HP gains? 3) Do you have any fitment issues. I'm about to pull the trigger on this...
