sadly, it's gonna be awhile before I put them on since I want to get the tune done at Z1 since they seem to be pulling a bit more power out of these cars than the average tuner. I'm also pairing them with HFCs so I'm not going to see the #s folks with TP are getting/going to get. :(

We hit 400ppm c02 this year. HFC is responsible. Plus its only like 5-7hp... barely felt on the road in the real world. I agree with going to z1 for the tune. It seems like every time I go up there Jon is breaking another whp record on na vq engines LoL.

It's not to hard when running E85 and put more timing in the car. Something they won't do for the average tune on customers cars. Understandable at most. Plus there little intake manifold trick.

This "trick" is killing me!!!

/\ lolz, me too, can't wait to find out.

boxes arrived today, sitting in my foyer. :happydance:

PS--I ran the FI lth and non res carbon fiber muffler cbe on the last nismo. I am getting old now cause the smell drove me insane even after the tune helped a bit. My old chevelle never bothered me but that was a long time ago. HFC eliminate this and are less bad for the environment win/win.

Love having my MD Y pipe n HFC for that reason :) I keep long tubes and a HFC. Only downside is no "true dual" exhaust or x pipe.

Is that going to be enough flow once the superchargers are installed?

Not 100% sure yet. The Tanabe portion actually goes down to 2.75". I do know these superchargers like a bit of back pressure to get into it's efficiency range, but I'm a bit worried about the top end restriction. If need be, I will either swap the whole thing for F.I. with the small cats or maybe just the mid back section. Idk how much these Y pipes can flow.

Chuck33079 07-13-2013 05:20 PM

The Y is the part I think would be the issue. Oh well. There's always something that needs to be changed out or upgraded.

I don't think S/Cs need any back pressure. They aren't turbos...

It'll probably be best to go catless and live in the 50's

turbo's hate backpressure more. GTM was telling me the info about the SC's, but thats also speculation as well from prior experience. I just want moar :driving: lol

MM'08_350Z 07-13-2013 10:26 PM

For those of you who are also going to recieve the Z1 headers on your tracking info does it say the package weights 10lbs?

brucelidat 07-13-2013 10:48 PM

All for you who are getting these, post some DYNOS!!

MM'08_350Z 07-14-2013 09:20 AM

Yes!!! DYNO!!!! Mine is going to be a bit harder to surpass but ill hope for better than my 322whp and 267wtq. BTW it's harder for me since I'm not driving a 370Z I have an 08 350Z. Other mods I'm doing to my Z are going to consist of bored out throttle bodies(2.5mm) NST pullies, Z1 Headers, and Z1 TPs on my next dyno tune.

Mods on the car on that day were stillen G3 intakes, Okada plasma coil packs, ID725cc injectors, Stillen headers, Art Pipes, Motordyne TDX V2 exhaust and Greddy 267/264 Camshafts.

Oh!! And I still want to know about Z1s intake Manifold mod!!!!

Damn that's a lot of mods. Wait a sec ur in a 350 lol and u live in San Antonio? How come you don't go to Zsport? Here's my dyno from JMS this is with stillen g3 intakes motordyne art pipes UPREV tune and fast intentions TDX 18" resonators with carbon fiber mufflers. Before and after I got my art pipes. Attachment 72889top line is after the art pipes obviously. So when I get headers people can see the difference then.

MM'08_350Z 07-14-2013 04:15 PM

Those are some good numbers! what is ZSport?

wouldn't surprise me, I think they told me they cut 36 lbs compared to my stock headers.

Go to Zsport.org and join man! Huge z and g community in San Antonio and we have tons of events and sponsorships!

Joepro 07-15-2013 01:57 PM

yes listed as 10lbs, I bet that weight estimate is also losing the cats, I did the headers on my 350, and they were the old manifold style and they were probably 15-20 lbs each, doubt the tubular ones are....just got them, they look great, but they forgot the test pipes...said they will be here tomorrow. These should be on by the weekend!

Mike 07-15-2013 08:32 PM

actually, I think it was 16 pounds savings, Cant remember. I think the AC system was the 36.

Joepro 07-15-2013 11:10 PM

These do not weigh much, that I will tell you, even 16lbs is nice...

Sh0velMan 07-16-2013 07:40 AM

I wanna say I saved 15-16 pounds per side going from stock headers + cats to my longtubes... So these shorties + test pipes should be even lighter, I would think.

MM'08_350Z 07-16-2013 05:39 PM

I just opened up my Z1 package and man they were not kidding about that collector it look amazing!!! Lets hope for some great numbers!!!

Hopefully the wife don't mind dropping off the Z this weekend in SA and having all the parts installed and car dynoed through the week.

Joepro 07-19-2013 01:22 PM

Mine are on but lost both o2s.... waiting on parts now.... Grrr.
