Oh, and I am borrowing a set of rear wheels, so if he doesn't mind me dyno-ing on them, I might dyno soon (After I receive donations, lol) |
^^ you won't accept donations, I tried sending you beer money and you told me to screw. :icon17:

Think all the people "like me" just didn't see enough gains to brag about it. Not for that kind of money.

I'll do $120 shipped. ;)

I don't know if it was the headers or art pipes, but r/t got some good tq numbers from my car, a lot higher than most I have seen, could be their tuning ability as well...
|
I bought the set off DEfivepoint0 about 20 minutes ago, thanks guys! I may not even need them, just buying them in case I cannot get the BP turbo kit to work with the z1's.

What does this guy mike's car with the 342 who run the quarter in? Time and trap? Street tires not drag radials. Do we or anybody have this data, if no then why not damming :)

Yeah me too with an occasional trip to the qtr. Run the qtr for 20 bucks and lets see a 12.6 else I say bullcrappa

Plus if he did, it would be on Hoosier slicks and with a giant wing and a splitter, so the results would be nigh useless. There's a quarter mile thread that has more what you're looking for in it. Good luck. |
Obviously. Its all we hear about for dyno numbers yet no qtr. Ok. Protective of b.s. I suppose. Its all good I won't consider that car then, no prob for me

I have no doubt on his 342whp a Dyno is just a Dyno , some of the same exact brand can read higher or lower. What count is the gain on the same dyno. they dyno 370z at 275-280 stock . 342 is only 62-67whp gain this also include their Z1 modified Intake manifold that proved by itself gain in the higher powerband of about 10whp. then they also mentionned at that time thye played with the VVEL and saw minor gain if I recall so im not totaly impress with only that 62-67gain there is even more to be found with that stock engine. |
Wow u guys don't take questions well at all. Must be an unfriendly group.

I tend to think Z1's dyno (where that car was dynoed) is inflated as hell, this isn't being protective, this is me pointing out that, with very few exceptions, those of us who spend the time and money to heavily modify these cars don't waste our time at a drag strip trying to break **** for no reason. Furthermore, unless you have an autobox, the launch is the major variable with the car that makes quarter times nearly impossible to really compare from car to car. This is a hard car to launch if you don't have the bitch box and most folks don't waste their time trying to 'master' it. Do what you want, I seriously couldn't care less, I don't have these headers. |

I live my life a quarter mile at a time. What is this track with corners you speak of?

How bout a Dyno is only a tuning tool. That will blow your mind.

yeah, drag vs a 5.0 won't be pretty for us, haha. on the topic of the thread, has anyone new installed and dyno'ed these?

But I have new wheels and tires! Just don't have the car right now... LOOOOOL! You really should take my car to the dyno when I'm at work if you wanna get it dyno'd sooner than later ;) |

I don't think I'll do headers unless the gains are really impressive which I doubt at this point. Too much install costs. Even Seb says it's not worth it, and he'd be the one making money off of me for it. |

but a modified 5.0 will destroy a full bolt on and tuned 370z |

a 5.0 mustang weighs close to 3700lbs with no extra addons like nav, sound, ect. a 370z base weighs 3200lbs touring weighs somewhere around 3300lbs with a 7at and the nismo 370z is around 3300lbs(maybe a little less by ging off nissans advertised 9.4:1 power to weight ratio that puts the nismo at 3290), not to mention we have better gearing than the mustang |
