I got my HFC's and CBE in the mail today! I'm going to try to see if I can get off early from work Friday to get everything installed by HP Logic. Only thing that sucks is after Friday they won't be able to install them for 2 weeks because their guy is going on vacation!

Only issue is how Im going to fit the CBE, HFC and sways in the car. I can put the HFC's up front and attempt to fit everything else in the back. Sucks because all of my friends are working so I can't get anybody to drive up with me. Oh well I'll figure something out, I'll just have to get creative. |
I'm debating yall. Between these vs. Berk look. I've been reading this thread, and if i remember right, Tony said the lowest point on these CBE are only 3 inchs lower than stock.
So, Those who have already installed their exhausts: have yall accidently rubbed/scraped/bottom'd out on bumps and humps or any other occasions? |

The lowest point of the mufflers are almost in line with the rear axle, so when you go over a speed bump the mufflers rise with the rear of the car, so clearance is never an issue at stock height. |
finally get mine installed 2tm
|
Does the FI exhaust cure cabin rattles? :icon14:

My number is coming up! :happydance: |
^^ That is correct, according to Tony's documentation.
However, I believe the issue here is that the lowest points of both exhausts (stock vs FI) are not in the same place. I haven't received mine yet so I'm not 100% sure. But the stock's lowest point seems to be right in the middle of the rear wheels....meaning, whenever the wheels ride over something (driveway, speedbump, etc.), the exhaust is lifted in relation to the wheels. FI's lowest point on the other hand appears to be a little further back. |
all i have to say...the exhaust is amazing. period.
|
Any updates on whats shipping out this week vs next week?
|
Wow, HP Logic just called me at the last possible second to say they can't do my exhaust today. This was a major scheduling inconvenience for me to be able to take half a day off today to get this done. Now I got all the hardware just sitting in my car and half of a PTO day wasted. Can anybody in South Florida install HFC, CBE and Sways TODAY?! Please let me know ASAP!

Tampa is a 3 hour drive for me unfortunately, but thanks anyway.
|
^^Thought you were getting them installed tomorrow? That sucks man...
|
It was moved because of a scheduling conflict on my part, HP Logic insisted that Thursday was perfectly fine for them. I would basically have to wait 2 weeks to get them to install it now because apparently there's only ONE guy there that handles the work and he's going on vacation. I could MAYBE try for a Friday morning install but I got a client appointment at 2PM and since they quoted me 4 hours for the install(and they open at 10AM) that's too close for comfort.
I'm already on the look out for someone else to do this install. |
Found another place a former member recommended that's actually right down the street. I confirmed that they have infact worked on a few 370z's and they even said they can install it today for $275! I'll be sure to post some pics when it's finished.
|
thanks to those that responded. Hard decision...grr
|
Looks like they're making sure everything is aligned correctly. I got some pics of it on the lift, this system look AMAZING! I can't wait to hear/drive it!

Just a quick review: This exhaust is AWESOME. It's the exact sound I wanted, it's loud but not overly so. I've also been told it will get quieter in the next few days as it breaks in. The place who did my install were very professional and they even let me see my car on the lift! I got to watch as they took the extra effort to make sure the exhaust was flush, straight and symmetrical. They did an awesome job, and they completed the HFC, CBE and Sway bar install in just under 3 hours.
The performance increase is something else, I notice a definite gain throughout the power band and the throttle response is quicker. I'm sure once the ECU has time to adjust it will be even more responsive. I do notice the hiss(which is very subtle so I don't mind) and the drone at around 75-80mph. I can deal with it and I was told this will also become less severe of the next few days. Final Verdict: I'm VERY impressed with the design, fit and finish of this product. You did a damn good job Tony, kudos to you. :) Also the mechanics mentioned that it was one of the best fitting exhausts they've worked on and they have done quite a few installs on 350/370z's and G35/G37's. Now for a few crappy camera phone pics! http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/3...5201523.th.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/1...5201524.th.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us Looking at the angle they may look uneven but I assure you in person they are not, I'm just bad at taking pictures |
12" res. Looks good.

[QUOTE=F.I. Inc.;546214]To the customers who have the orders going in the mail next week. I know that puts most of you about a week behind. For that I do apologize! I also appreciate everyones patience and business. We are doing our very best to stay where we currently are in terms of a timeline. We may possibly be able to get a few more in the mail next week but as for now just what I posted. As we get further into next week I will give another update.
No worries, man. I'm just pretty damn anxious! |

Tony P.S. you are not boring me. You just want answers and maybe an exhaust. |
WOW!! Thats all I can say. This thing sounds amazing Im loving!! Tony and the guys did a great job with this exhaust system. All the sound bites and video's that are posted online do not do this set up any justice. I got the 18" resonator CBE absolutely in love with the way it sounds and extra hp was also welcomed. Thank you Tony and your staff at Fast Intentions for producing a fantastic product. Looks amazing, sounds amazing and the extra horse power is definitely noticeable.
