I felt the same way but quickly realized that when I took in my z for maintenance they didn't do anything so I put the gen 3 on myself and said the hell with the warranty. Plus you can't see the incision if you put the stock airboxes back on cause you need to take off the bumper

I'm surprised to shop let you get behind the car up on a dyno like that, most places I've been to keep you back away... Awesome vid. I need tissues meow. brb.

I'm thinking have the limiter removed, and having redline moved to 8k and see if we can pull out some higher topend...

My car liked to rev higher as mine made on a mustang dyno 320@ 7940 rpm. so with my 4.08 gears and higher redline it was a blast to rip through the gears. as for the topend, we gps my car @ 168mph :) allmotor

Nah it was all good, that shop and the tuner rules. Yes it was definitely screaming, but I gotta have it louder and I know just the thing to do that.

Ugh, I don't know if I wanna do the 4.08 gears with the 7AT or not... I might try to do a manual pumpkin swap at least since its got a better ratio than the AT, but hmmmmmmmmm... :icon08:

Take the exhaust off all together and run with straight dump tubes from the exhaust manifold?? :rofl2:

Let me know what you end up doing. I'm worried mine (Non-res with berk TP's) may not be loud enough once i install it, then i'll only be left with the GTHAUS as an option. I'd rather not go down that road if possible as it's not clear whether the GTHAUS makes anywhere near the same gains as the F.I. Not sure if I am willing to sacrifice much power for sound.

Thanks! I have not been to Charlotte in a while, I used to hang out there every weekend when stationed at Camp Lejeune. I will call CIN this week.

No problem man, they are an exceptional shop. Ben is even coming up here next month to check in and make any adjustments I might want.

FPenvy 10-06-2011 09:59 PM

#373 arrived today already installed. sounds amazing. took me 3 hours to get my cats off due to nissan's insane bolts holding them to the headers but only took 15 minutes to put the CBE exhaust on. tony all i can say is thank you lol. so far no problems. slight air escaping? sound when im letting off not sure bout that going to look into it tomorrow. sounds sick tho so hopefully its nothing bad. pics were taken camera is dead so i will post tomorrow along with hopefully a video if i have time before i go away for the weekend.
