I think I love this guy. Once I recover from my weekend in Manhattan I am going to pull the trigger.

Stock cats are definitely not High flow. FI, Berk, Stillen, all make high flow cats that are pushing quite a bit more HP through the tubes than the stock cats.

if i were to buy the FI carbon fiber catback exhaust system with the FI hfc's and stillen headers, would you recommend getting the 18 inch resonators rather than the 12 inch to quite the car down considering the headers will make it louder? will the 18 inch res. keep rasp at a minimum compared to the 12 inch?

Sorry guys I've been out all weekend enjoying my new FI exhaust setup! It sounds better and better each day I drive.

I took the pics of my car up on the lift at FI with a friend's camera, so I gotta wait for him to get me the pics.

As for vids, all I got is a lame Cannon Powershot A2100 that takes vids, this is gonna make the setup sound shitty. I'm not sure how to get vids for you guys.

If anyone in the San Fernando Valley area in CA wants to meet up and check it out in person and take pics or vids I'd be down to meet up and show you the pimpness that this setup is

Depends on your taste in sound. I have HFC, and GEN3 intake, and I know that it would sound obnoxious (personally), and that is why I went with the 18" res. I still want a nice sound but don't need the typical fart can racer noise.(not refering to the FI 12" res ) Not appealing to me...just my I have the Berk HFC's with stock exhaust and it's on the louder side of my taste. But I still don't know how they will sound, who knows, maybe they will be too quite. Different strokes for different folks. I think that is the beauty of Tony's system, you can custom tailor it to your liking.

Will the 18" resonators have less ground clearance (read closer to the ground) than the 12" resonators..???

Test Pipes will always be louder than HFCs. HFC have a core, a cat is still there. Test Pipes are just hollow pipes. Nothing to interfere with the flow. Test Pipes will be louder, maybe not by a huge amount, but louder still. They will also net more power, not a LOT more power, maybe just 1-3 or 4 more HP but still more...

I'm with Fusz here, all I have on my car right is the Berk HFC's and I love the sound. Sounds stock with gentle driving, but gets pretty damn lout and aggressive at WOT.

Ive been told by tony that even the non resonated x pipe and CF mufflers wont be nasty raspy sounding.. it will have a very nice exotic sound to it.. I guess ill just have to wait till i get mine lol.

Stock Cats are NOT considered high flow. They are nearly the exact opposite. Anyone else's HFC (Stillen, Berk, FI, AAM, Zele, Amuse, etc.) will flow better.

From what has been said by Tony and others, this system doesn't seem real prone to rasp. With HFC and any resonator, 12" or 18", you shouldn't get rasp. It has even been said that the Straight X will not rasp either but we're yet to hear a sound clip.

If you are trying to "quiet the car down" because you are running HFC and a set of headers, yeah 18" might be better. It will just be a deeper sound.

will a larger resonator take away any hp? will the bigger resonator also affect ground clearance?
