If you have a moderate drop, I don't see how you would scrape the "sh1t" out of the cans. With my drop, I find there is plenty of clearance and as long as you don't drive over speed bumps or curbs at 15mph, don't see the problem. That said, there is some space to angle the cans up more to increase ground clearance.

I scraped the exhaust when I had 30 thick tires instead of stock 45.

Oh, I didn't think about lower profile tires. The guy who owned my FI exhaust prior was slammed on coilovers and he scratched it once (pretty minor).

Do you have a base/non-sport pkg? Cus the sport pkg tires are 40F/35R

I've scraped already on stock height but I don't even know when it happened. Either way you just need to be more careful, especially if you're lowered. Even stock height, I think you just need to avoid speed bumps and inclines all together. Normal roads and driveways shouldn't be an issue though even if you're lowered slightly.

my home is surrounded with speedbumps.

dem government looooves placing them EVERYWHERE.

when I go to tom for stuff for my car. when I am near his house I LITTERALLY pass 5 high and steep speedbumps in a mile radius.

its insane.

Speed bumps should be fine, even if it is lowered. You just need to take the speed bump normal and not fast. I put over 200 miles on the prototype car in 2009 and drove it in all kinds of places. I never scraped once!

Newbie here... Mode I can do easily w/ HP gain is a new exhaust.

I really like the sound of FI and Ark , but leaning toward FI because of the price, I will keep my stock Intake ,the only concern I have is clearance but Tony says it shouldn't be a problem.

My question is...
Should I go for Non-resonated or 12" or 18" Resonator? I don't like loud exhaust though.

Thanks for the Help guys :driving:

The bigger the resonator, the quieter the exhaust. Also, Tony has Carbon Fiber or Stainless Steel cans, the latter being the quieter. So there are several possible combinations you could go with. The quietest being the 18" res with SS cans. But if you wanted switch it up, you could do 18" resonators and CF cans or 12" resonator and SS cans... Those would probably give you the good medium you're looking for as far as sound/looks. All of the CBE's will give you the same performance upgrade.

Quite honestly, I thought the 12" resonated FI exhaust would be louder than it actually is. Granted, I also have high flow cats which adds significant volume but it is very livable and pretty quiet when cruising.
