Tony is just the man, period. Thanks for such fun and entertaining conversation and for answering all my questions about the FI exhaust.

I was calling in to inquire about the exhaust and get some info; within 2 minutes I was sold and bought the exhaust right then and there and feeling great about it.

Tony, you deserve all the business coming your way with such impressing customer service :tiphat:

Agreed, I spammed him with a couple emails and then called him with about 30 minutes of questions and he took it all in stride & answered everything I wanted to know. Order was placed 3 weeks ago, and I don't think I've ever refreshed a thread as often as I have this one, in hopes of seeing my name move up the list :)

I was just asking what kind of turbo u are using

like GTM is using Garrent
Greddy is using their own turbos

Fast intention ?????

Want my advice? use billet turbos.. fastest after market turbo in spooling.

Im surprise that no company made TT kit for our cars using billet turbo charge yet

We will most likely use Garrett turbos, Tial waste gates/BOV's and cast manifolds. We will also build our exhaust system in 3" from the downpipe back. I already built a prototype 3" CBE for Sebastian's 370Z at SpecialtyZ. It came out great and is quieter than the 2.5" version. This is due to the turbos acting like primary mufflers. Comparing apples to apples turbo cars are usually quieter than their N/A counterpart.

Things have slightly changed since last week though. This may be a project that Fast Intentions will venture into solely on our own!

Time will be the test. I hope to have the first report for you all within a few months.

Will the 3" CBE provide better gains than your normal 2.5" one on a N/A setup?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

It will tank your low end torque and mid range power. It may pick up minimal horsepower in the very high end of the RPM range! However the trade off is not worth it.

That pretty much should sum it up...

Thanks, Tony

Yeah I think it does, lol. So the 3" CBE will only help with FI applications? Do all aftermarket CBE that are larger than stock hurt low end torque and mid range power?

Or N/A applications where the car makes over 600 RWH. That would be like a large cubic inch American muscle car.

Now due to our design we have never sacrificed low end torque or mid range power on ANY of our exhaust systems.

you can always send the prototypes to meee.

and ****. last night I was driving home and felt something hit my car. pulled over looked around, nothing.

parked the car, walked out to the car this morning and noticed something hanging from my exhaust.

a pretty large piece of the Carbon fiber has broken off and is just hanging there.

I guess there was a rock or something and it slammed into the exhaust.

So is there a hole now, or is the CF just covering another layer of metal? Thought at least some of it was all CF molded, to account for the weight savings that Tony says the CF gives you.
